Thanks for posting that CG, always good to have a bit of meat on the bones. I may be a bit old fashioned, but, when I saw the photos, I did think that Evans could have made the effort to wear a suit, particularly as he was the main prizewinner. We seem to be going by the to the BG era under MT, was there an official club dress code for the night, as some players are in shirt & ties, others t-shirts and even some wearing sunglasses, the photos hardly paint a good picture for the club and it's not just the Scouse MAFIA who dressed oddly. You're right Topper ... Previous years the guys have always been smart - suited and booted and accessible to the fans ready with photographs etc ... Previous years the dinner has always been the sunday after the last game of the season - There was discussion that the dinner was brought forward by a week to ensure that players even bothered to attend as post Wigan a huge number could / would be on their bike. Interestingly as well if you were a member of the 1883 business club but did not commit to signing up for next season ( even though there has been next to nothing organised this year) you were not allowed to attend. |

Anyone who was there able to tell us exactly what happened ? Not a pop at any poster here or elsewhere, just fed up with so many threads having initially unsubstantiated comments on them. If you're ITK either tell us what you know, or don't. think the new devon mafia taking over got upset because the scousers put jam on the scones first and disrespected them. Devon mafia! made me laugh. 'ooh arr were the Mafiarr!' Cream first obviously but they probably disagree down Plymouth. |
