Good afternoon all. Saddler here in peace. A little birdy tells me you have signed Isaac Hutchinson from us (a low buyout clause) which I’m absolutely furious about. But… just wondered if you lot had heard anything your end? Not heard anything our end, he was quite high up on my list of players I wanted us to sign this summer. How reliable is your source? |

Extremely. I would be very very surprised if it wasn’t good intel. Apparently Stockport were in talks, and he chose you - but Barnsley came in late on, but all was agreed with you. Let’s see! Would certainly fit our recruitment style as of late, similar to the signing of Kamil Conteh, buyout clause, youngish & too good for L2. I expect location had something to do with us getting that over the line, looking at his career so far he’s very much a south based footballer. |

I think we need another option than just Evans in that role, highlighted last season when we never seemed to have a plan B. As good as he is he can’t play 90 mins each game and stay performing at 100%. Even if Evans does go I’d expect (hope) us to have a bit more depth there next season. |

A release clause doesn't normally include a player in part exchange. However, I guess if his release clause was £250k, then it's possible your manager might prefer £150k plus a player, if he values that player at £100k+. If there is a player heading your way as part of the deal it's likely to be Jevani Brown or Luke McCormick. Personally, I'd rather it was Brown. He was excellent for Exeter but has been poor since he signed for Rovers last summer. |
