We've seen this all too many times before, I'm not excited by any of these signings, it's for them to produce on the pitch, prove they are cut out for this level and then excited us. Proof is in the pudding and the ball is in their court. They need to show us what they've got. Get a grip That is getting a grip, a grip on reality. At the moment itās all words, excitement joining a new club, but they have to perform.

I like our business so far. Said the same with Garner and that didnāt go well but so far so good IMO Yes. Whenever the signings appear to be good we always refer back to 2020 and say what great signings we made. Unfortunately we never finished the squad did we? We signed Hanlan but no direct replacement for JCH and without that balance our midfield and defence was always under pressure. I like what weāve done so far as well but never any guarantees with transfers. UTG!

I am also enjoying the quiet understated we are going about it No BS and talk of "value at the end of the window" etc...

I know itās hard to believe given how badly it turned out, but the likes of Westbrooke, Baldwin, Ehmer, Nicholson and Barrett were not cheap options.

Bristol Rovers is pleased to announce the signing of defender Joel Senior from Morecambe, subject to FA and EFL ratification.
The 25-year-old moves to The Memorial Stadium on an two-year deal, with the option of a further year, from the Sky Bet League Two side, and becomes Roversā sixth signing of the transfer window. He follows Isaac Hutchinson, Clinton Mola, Ruel Sotiriou, Bryant Bilongo and Dan Ellison to joining the Club.
The right-back has signed for Rovers after spending the 2023/24 campaign with the Shrimps, a season in which Senior made 50 appearances in all competitions.
āIām delighted to sign with Bristol Rovers,ā Senior said. āWhen I first heard about the chance of coming to Rovers, I wanted to jump at the opportunity. This is a big Club with a superb fanbase, and has everything a footballer would want.

Hoole or Jack Hunt on their way I would imagine Hoole out of contract tomorrow and still not signed the contract offered? So wages stop on Monday. If he goes hope the club seek a compensation fee with sell on clause.

If he goes hope the club seek a compensation fee with sell on clause. I don't think a sell on clause is ever payable and compensation fee is (I think) only payable if we have offered Hoole a contract at least equal to his previous, which from rumours we haven't.

Interesting how many of our signings are attributing or attributed "pace" as a strength. I think this shows two things.
1) the direction we're going. And how maybe we struggled against the counter attack last season.
2) that "true pace" has kinda gone. In a world where there are some many athletes the freaky pace discrepancy is seen less and less.
