James Connolly has travelled to Portugal but is set to depart upon return, club are close to accepting an offer. He hasn’t been given a squad number for the upcoming season where most players have, so unlikely to be part of our plans even if he stays. Permanent or Loan? |

It makes me question the club strategy a bit tbh, he's young and has bags of potential. Why sell him? Surely it makes sense to have him on loan and keep him developing? Especially when we paid money for him. |

Sure he’ll do well for a league 2 club, but after end of last season and the defending him and Wilson did for that Swansea goal, just confirmed for me he won’t be up to it for league 1 this season. Wilson wasn't even on the pitch when Swansea scored their second? Although the goal was clearly down to Connolly anyway. |

If we play with 3 at the back do we need 5 or 6 CB in the squad? Currently Taylor, Moore, Forbes, Wilson, Ellison and Mola (he's been playing LCB). I think that's enough even with Taylor not being fit. Means at the mo starting with Wilson/Forbes, Moore and Mola and having Wilson/Forbes and Ellison on the bench! Reasonable and stronger when Taylor is fit! |

That source is just some twitter account with barely 100 followers. I have not seen anything credible yet. Just the usual "ITK" attention-seekers throwing round random player/club combos to generate online interactions. Sad. It did amuse me with the McCormick rumours a few Grecians noting that the name of that particular player might not sit too well amongst their fans given the actions of his namesake at their rival club...! |

Happy if Connolly goes he’s never been upto scratch, Wilson another one is bin off but nobody in their right mind would take him
Maybe pay him up, try to convince Hun he might get a year elsewhere
