Not a legend but not far short. Arrived at the lowest point in our history as a winger who couldn’t get a game in the conference for FGR. Scored the goals which played a huge part in getting our status back as a league club (we may not exist now if we’d stayed non-league). Then scored loads more to get our back into league one before leaving which made us £300k profit. Slightly tarnished by playing for City but he hasn’t killed anyone or done anything to warrant the abuse he gets from some of our fans. If ever there was a striker who wore a heavy shirt for us and the responsibility of being our goalscorer to get us out of the conference. Thankful and much gratitude from me

DC has still only really proved himself to be a good League 2 Manager and certainly not the answer if we want to be a top League 1 club. Matty Taylor well we would have all loved him to stay when he went to City and still has a better eye for goal than most of our players. Be interesting to see if we even manage to sign a striker any better than Taylor in the summer and we need three of them!!

Snake really screwed his career when he left us. He could have gone down as a gas legend. Not a legend but not far short. D/C thread morphed into 'Snake' thread! for me no where near legend status, an intelligent footballer regarding positional sense etc which got him a lot of goals in a Rovers side which created the chances for him BUT I was never confident he would score in 1 on 1s and the like. He is not up there in my list of great Rovers strikers/finishers, would he have scored those two 'Walker' goals v Shrews at Wembley for instance? doubtful IMHO and that's what this is just an opinion, I often think back to 'that' Daggers game where he missed several very good chances one of which earned Lee Brown legendary status!! As for abuse, agreed , it is over the top as is much of the like dished out at matches. D/C? tough one , they pulled off some great results in his tenure but a couple of costly defeats sealed their fate ,one of them V us ,ironically! To be fair, that's why his primarily a League One footballer. Walker's level was League 2. Sometimes players are good at the level they're at, that's it.

Snake really screwed his career when he left us. He could have gone down as a gas legend. if was offered three times my salary currently to do the same job then being a ‘Gas Legend’ would be way down the list of priorities when making that decision.

Good job Pritchard and Hayles thought differently. Snakey could have ended up with a much better club than City if he stayed here and scored goals rather than sit on the bench for a few years.

Pritchard was very close to donning a red shirt
