By the time GC jumped ship most fans were supporting him, the Mem was packed around the festive season games, it's nonsense to suggest the fans drove him to leave. It's pretty obvious Wael decided Garnerball was the way forward and GC must have known that. Simply not true about attendances. GC’s last home game against Southend was 6,797. The three home games before this were Pompey (8,648) Bolton (7,224) and MKD (7,864) Hardly “packed” as you say. I think most had warmed to him after beating Ipswich when they started to “believe” as such. Sadly we won’t ever know what would have happened. We any of those game around the festive season, I can recall the game v Wimbledon had a big crowd particularly when it was unlikely there were that many away fans? Gates of 7.000+ were decent at that time as they had really dropped off at the end of DC's spell in charge. |

Coughlan wasn’t in charge for Wimbledon and it was Boxing Day which is always a big crowd for obvious reasons. Dc was still pulling 7.5k plus on the majority of his games even towards the end. |

So GC was getting similar gates as DC, so no real evidence the fans forced him to quit.

Ill advised and not looked into by him. I have written a letter to the club and await a reply. At least I have the money to pay for my funeral |
