Was just about to start one titled .... 'Draining the Swamp MDT '
This will be the first real time we can see Matt Taylors intent - I am genuinely hoping he carries out a full colonic on this squad - Out of contracts , those in contract told to find a new club etc ... I just sense today might be an anti climax and it will be the next six weeks that we really see those in contract who he does not wish to retain properly revealed.
Oh and hoping he has recognised the backroom staff who add little as well and will be on their way - those that can't even warm the players up properly !

Looking forward to the reconfiguration.
I hope my favourite players are here next season.
Realistically. Some will leave.
I console myself with the realisation that it is not my decision.
None of us are party to the statistical data, player's medical prognosis and training performances.
Equally, I appreciate that all of us have only a partial appreciation of the inner dealings and player preferences.
We also have no credible understanding of the proposed incomings.
I believe this window is an opportunity to make some forward strides. From all I am told both GF and MT are shrewd judges of "warriors and artists.

Out of the out of contract players, I'm not really bothered if any of them leave. Which says it all about the current squad. I would like some to stay, as long as they don't take up too much of the budget. But I won't be losing any sleep tonight.

Funny thing is everyone saying they hope MT has a good clear out I know of at least 4 players that have already pre-signed elsewhere and cant wait to get out under his management. I don't think people going out the door will be a problem, i think getting half decent players in will be the harder thing as people will want top dollar to come in to this mess. I can see this getting worse before it gets better! Enjoy your summer gas heads! |

Lets face it - those without contracts would have been silly not to see what else is out there and those who have familes up north who are being told to spend more time in Bristol will have options with all of the promoted/ relegated teams being based north of Brum

I'm hoping all the out of contracted players are shown the door bar Sinclair and Martin.
Would like to give Rossiter a contract until January but I think there will be clubs out there that will give him a one year
With Josh Grant, does he have the option to extend for a further year or does the club?
