I guess if we are offered £750k for Evo with a year left we should take it. Hope we get some early news of players coming in! Ppersonally think we sold Azza in poor form, Evo was rated like Cantona by the Fleetwood commentary team, send the interested clubs a copy of that match! Think he s worth 1.5 to be honest, but have no confidence unless George Friend deals with it. |

Agree'd, We are Bristol Rovers, we should all know by now that we sell our 1/2 decent players for basically 1/2 their worth! We always have. Nobody negotiates or plays Hard ball we just collect a quick buck and we wonder why the pot for new players is empty! |

Worried that despite all the injuries problems this season we are going to have more of the same next year if we have a squad containing Wilson, Hunt, Grant Ward and Rossiter .

The GasCast team put this handy graphic together to show who is still under contract and who is out.  I would trigger a contract extension for Chris Martin. I would make an effort to renew Scott Sinclair for another season. Luca Hoole can play CB/RB so would be a useful player to keep around. Greenslade I would like to see given a bit of a chance at some point next season, so would renew his too. Rossiter is class, but a definite concern over his injury record. I would like to see him next season - but it might be on a low salary / high appearance bonus type deal. The rest of the out of contract players I would let leave. There are a couple of under contract players I wouldn't mind seeing moved on either tbh. We should definitely try to extend Antony Evans' contract too! As for the returning loanees.. we didn't see much of Aguilera. Would be nice to have him back if played a bit more forward. Vale is destined for bigger things. He'll be loaned to a bigger L1 club or Champ club imo. Baggott I'm not sure about. He has been inconsistent, but is still developing. I wouldn't be totally against having him back though (preferably as a permanent signing if he is released) |

We’d do well to get 350-400k for him. Only Rovers would accept that sort of pittance. I like Evo and would like to see him stay, imagine his worth if he could take a consistent decent corner, a real achilles heal in our squad as we waste so many chances on goal with our duff corner taking! |

Our position screams u23’s squad to dip into there is potentially 4 maybe if we get lucky 5 players.
Such a waste the last, I guess 10 years. Maybe more.
I just don’t understand why you would give a manager, god like decision making knowing at best he will only be with you for a couple or 3 seasons. Academy players potentially are there from 6 or 7 until 18. Managers aren't.
DC was horrific for it. MT appears to be the same. At the risk of a ruining a good argument JB seemed to take an interest. PT, BG, just clueless. GC and TW just interested jobs for the boys or their boys 😂😂😂and a closed shop.
Really hope the board take a serious interest in developing real talent and spend the money on that, not waste it on 1 season wonders, journey men, loans and cash cows.
Granted will take a few years and risk L2, but our long term business model on field doesn’t seem to be working out at the moment.
Can’t carry on losing millions each season just to tread water. Youth to me is the answer with a proper pathway. As I’ve said before, the talent for 17, 18, 20 year olds at 3-6 is just incredible for a few players. Ive watched it every week for the last couple of seasons.
If done properly I think it can work. The number of ex Rovers academy players that I watch week in week out, follow and see what they are doing now makes me think what are we doing.
Of course there are loads that are nowhere near the level and have fallen through the net, and that’s the game I get it.
But why are we giving managers that are there 5 mins money to spend on some players they had before that were not good enough at there previous clubs.
Get some proper coaches in pay them properly, long term strategy then Championship will be a realistic possibility.
