He's already had a trial 2 weeks before the end of the season. Was Speaking to someone who knows him well and said the Training at Rovers was Embarrassing and it was more intense at Chippenham! Said they stood around and did rondo's for over 1/2 an hour and then a few passing drills and a small sided game! He didn't come back! He was asked to come back again and didn't or did he not come back because his trial period had ended? With the way our season was ending, probably not the best time to show off the club positively to a trialist haha. Loads of players wanting out already or knowing they were leaving. Can't imagine much effort was being put in by the players in training based on what we saw in the games 😂 |

When was this trial supposed to have been?? At professional clubs they do different type of training, depending on what time of the season and how many games they are playing at the time. At semi pro level, they only train a free times a week. So it has to be intensive a lot of the time. Unless Taylor's training has changed a lot during his Exeter days, I highly doubt that's all they do at training. His teams are normally physically fit, well drilled and know what they are doing. I've heard good things about what Exeter used to do. |

Was JB really out of his depth given the level he's played at but he couldn't get AC to perform anywhere near the level he can clearly play. AC was League One Player of the Year under JB you dafty. He obviously hates Taylor and will say anything to discredit him. I know at least part of what they said in the past was rubbish. |

Smallest budget in the league by far, smaller than some League 1 budgets. Kept them up and they were third from bottom when he left, which was higher than where they are now! So it wasn't as bad as some make out?? Where do you think Rotherham should have been?? |

At least like Luton in the Premiership or Posh in their last season in the Championship at least putting up a decent fight to stay up? Although MT went form a dozen games managing in L1 to the Championship with no DoF to assist him. |

I know for fact he wasn't impressed with the standard of training that day and that again comes from 2 very reliable sources of whom know him very well. and it was the 15th April. That date was the day before a game so training wouldn't be intense. I'm sure he's intelligent enough to know that.

this thread is so funny - Chippenham Town player does not want to sign for a L1 team as training is better at Chippenham - of course that is true. Expect him to be snapped up by Premier team over the summer.

To be fair the club don't announce when players are on trial etc, Isaac Vassell was spotted in training photos - without the photos you'd never know he was training with us/on trial. Not like anyone would expect a player who can't get on the bench at Bath City to be training with us. So it is plausible that Ellison was invited to training, being local stories do get around. The Jamie Hedges kick-ups story was doing the rounds well in advance of the Bristol Post piece. |
