He’s always been a favourite in our household, years ago when both my kids were young , Me and the wife took them for a walk one Sunday Afternoon across Severn beach sea front, with a football. Chris was walking towards us with his partner and daughter and he could see that both my kids were whispering to each other and saying “That looks like Chris lines” He obviously heard them and said , yes you’re right it’s me don’t be shy and pass me the ball ! Before I know it he’s literally having a little kick about with my son and daughter, took a couple of pictures with them and had a chat with us. To this day both my now adult kids worship him and talk about our impromptu little kick about. Sums the guy up as an all round good bloke and great servant to the gas.

My Favourite and one of the best Rovers players (during my time) ever. Natural ability of a top end championship player. Loved everything about his game. Top top servant and Gas legend.

Will always be a favourite of mine, loved how he came back to help us get back into the league. Never understood why GC was a bit odd about the exact number of appearances he had made - he deserved to celebrate it without any doubt being cast.

Yes GC was a bit petty about that, refusing to acknowledge 500 appearances. Bit out of character really, so they obviously fell out about something or other. It was a shame and unnecessary. |
