I liked the part where it said the secretary has to be able to file paper work in timeš

CEO and COO are positions with the same level of seniority so the new COO would be working alongside Gorringe not below him. A COO normally reports into a CEO. I would be surprised if the CEO is here in August.

Seems like the owners are gradually getting their ducks in a row. About time we had a proper Club Secretary again.

Salary for COO is at the high end .... Salary for Club secretary is about right.
Hardest thing will be to convince the new secretary to move to the area on that level of remuneration.
Firm entrusted with the COO role are a very good choice - Going to Linked In for the Secretary is a nonsense - but that's our HR woman for you.
As TT says - The owners are moving strategically to bring in new Senior quality - need to move on the CEO and HR Queen though if they truly want to move things forward for the better. A good number of lesser 'Suits' have already exited the club - Big changes ongoing all over.

Bristol Rovers have suffered an early setback in the transfer window with summer target Ronan Curtis opting to join Port Vale, and Bristol Live understands the League Two club outbid a number of League One sides to secure the winger.
Curtis held talks with the Gas earlier this month but has decided to move to Vale Park where he signed a three-year deal as they seek an instant return to the third tier following relegation under Darren Moore.
As a result, Valeās financial offer for the 28-year-old and promise of a three-year deal exceeded what Rovers were willing to negotiate, in-part, due to Curtisā injury history as his final 12 months at Portsmouth were plagued by knee issues. The Gas were also not the only club in League One exploring the idea of signing the Republic of Ireland forward with Vale understandably feeling they have pulled off something of a transfer coup.
Curtis had only made his comeback to first-team football in January after joining AFC Wimbledon on a short-term deal and after five goals and two assists in 17 appearances, the Dons were keen to extend his agreement but are another club to have missed out to Vale.

Sounds like we missed a mistake there! Thank God
