What does the card use? Looks same as last season so assume qr code? I assume it's similar to a chip & pin bank card, if not, then we could have all carried on using last season's card and there was no need to charge fans £15 for new cards. Looks exacsame as last season apart from the code thingy looks slightly different.

The Q&A suggests removing any bank cards from your phone, so I assume it uses similar technology rather than just reading the QR code.

It is for most. What problem are you having? No problem as not been to a game yet to "prove" it all works. I do expect issues at the first two games. However, both those using phones and those with cards will have the same issue.

Looking at the Q&A, it seems to suggest we have both options: "How do I access The Mem on matchday with my Digital Season Ticket? IMPORTANT: To enter the stadium, your mobile ticket MUST be downloaded into your Apple Wallet or Google Pay (Android). Once at the stadium, as you approach the turnstile, open your Apple Wallet or Google Pay and locate your digital season ticket. Ensure you do not have any bank or other contactless cards at the back of your phone case. To gain access, look for the contactless NFC logo on the reader and simply tap your phone close to the screen as indicated. If you have multiple tickets on one device, remember to scan them at the turnstile one at a time." Notice, there are two discreet words of "tap" and "scan" being used. So, the turnstyle reader can handle both options. More likely whoever wrote that didn't realise the difference between tap and scan, as if you can just get in by scanning a QR code then why do you need to turn on NFC on your Android device? NFC seems to be an extra security level on mobile devices. Some fairly recent Chinese Android devices don't have NFC so if any supporters have one of those devices they have fun trying to get in. More than likely, they have been very specific for a reason. NFC needs to be turned on for a Google wallet, for debit card payments as a level of security. I'm off to Tescos later. I will turn off my NFC and try to use my club club. I will let you know if it works.

There was a QR code on last seasons cards , it was in the bottom right hand corner.
