Well we have moaned about the stadium not being used but the Euro deal at over £30 quid with plenty of clauses.
Not sure there will be a big take up on this.
It means that they are already "losing" the support of fans from even a few miles away unless they bring a designated driver.
The £5 pint and pie (before ko) maybe was a loss leader, but it got people in.
The breakfast bap game with Argentina during Japan WC was a great success with the bars absolutely rammed and they must have made loads.
No so sure about this one. 6 or 7 pints in a midweek sessh!

When I was younger, I would have been all over this!! Now it wouldn't interest me.

No mention of Chablis or Gin Martini being included in the deal.
For that reason, I'm out.
Keeping it real in BS3 🥂🏴☠️

What a strange offer, drinks are only being served during the game and not during the half time break, so the only time you can get a drink is when you want to watch the match!
It sounds like anybody attending will be lucky to get more than a couple of drinks in each half, even if they stand at the bar for the full match.

Hate to be someone who bashes the club for the hell of it, but doesn't seem like a great idea to me.
Maybe offer it as an option; but this way you're basically excluding children, drivers, pregnant women or people who don't want to drink at least 5 pints in 90 minutes from attending.

What's the betting most fans who usually attend these events at the Mem aren't big drinkers, probably Ashton Gate attracts those types of fans?

It's a very reasonable deal given a meal (of sorts) is provided. It compares well price wise with bottomless brunches and ok no prosecco is being served but there is wine.
A decent idea from the club and I don't understand why everyone seems to be criticising it.

I don't get how it can be considered a very reasonable deal for £35, assuming a pint/burger is £5 that means somebody is going to have to consume 6 pints in 45 mins (x2) that's going to take some doing during a match, even if there's no queuing at the bar wherever you need a refill.

You get a burger and chips as well, don't you? You will pay £10 for that at least, at most places. So 4/5 drinks to get your money's worth.

Regardless good luck to anybody managing to get through 5 drinks during the match.

I would suggest the club has shot itself in the foot on this one. I would expect many more who don’t want to try and throw five pints down in ninety minutes would attend if the price was halved and a burger and chips thrown in and no doubt might cough up for two or three pints at the sametime. In view of the clubs recent get fit fans campaigns, this appears to be not the best decision that someone on high has made.

Easier to go to a pub. Pay for what you drink. What they going to do when the cash only policy goes down again?kick everyone out?

We are in recessionary times, too much money for 4 pints let's be fair that's as much as I would drink during the match.

Why not give fans two choices, bottomless punch for £34.99 or a alcohol free/buy your own alcohol for £14.99? Perhaps the club could be more successful if fans ran the show!

I wonder if could order 7 pints and 6 large Blue Nuns, each time I go to the bar.
Doesn’t seem to be in the small print that I can’t order as much as I want each visit.
All jokes tbf. Don’t think they have really thought this through at all. Charge normal bar prices. Tenner to get in, Kids and concessions ect free of charge.
Chuck in a Soft Drink, Fruit, Bar of Chocolate type goodie bag for all the little ones, you then have fans for life with great memories. Even free off the gun coke/ whatever for designated driver.
Charge full price for Burger and Chips everyone who is drinking will pay for food. Better still get concession stands in with a hog roast/ street food kebab/ chicken what ever and charge a stand fee ect.
Smacks of short term money injection to me. Tells you everything you need to know about the long terms plans for the club.
Hate to say it because I’m not being negative, but I’m not a marketing expert, but someone must be able to come up with something better than that to attract people in.
Trouble is this should have been thought of 6 months ago or more. Having said that we never know when a Euro or World Cup is being held do we…………….
