According to reliable Pete, the club is down 1500. Probably correct, no bragging of record sales this year from the former CEO plonker.

I know a hell of a lot of people in the thatchers terrace who haven’t renewed due to the finance option being taken away, the group who I have been going with for years haven’t renewed due to this. I haven’t either because I’d be on my own ! Must be lots of others in the same situation.

I haven’t either because I’d be on my own ! Must be lots of others in the same situation. The decision to take away the finance option was scandalous. They must have known the effect this was going to have on the people that used the facility, but as with the £15 charge it was treated with utter contempt. They clearly don't give a flying fig about us fans.

Scandalous by who, if the finance co. withdrew the offer as it was being abused by fans what are the club supposed to do?
The real scandal is fans taking out finance then not paying it back. No doubt in the future the same fans will be whining that Rovers stopped them getting a mortgage/car loan etc.

And like it or not, last seasons sales were probably because a lot of those buying thought JB was going to bring us success on the playing front. This clearly didn’t happen, he was sacked and his successors efforts for the rest of the campaign, hardly encouraged people to rush out and renew. For what it’s worth I renewed my ST more in hope than expectation, probably like most gasheads who have done.

I guess there's a number of issues at play:
Last summer's sales were boosted by the JB factor.
This summer's sales have been affected by the poor end to last season under MT, AC being sold and, so far, not replaced.
Talk of the playing budget being reduced and just improving on last season's league position seemingly being the aim, which is an odd way to try and sell tickets by the club.
The lack of discounts for children/families and the above inflation in increase in some areas of the ground.
The loss of the credit scheme.
Possibly the increased number of live TV games/the lack of guaranteed 3pm Saturday games my also have had an affect.
I've renewed my ticket in order to ensure I keep my seat for when things hopefully improve in the future.

I simply can’t justify spending hundreds of pounds in one go at the moment. Gonna have to pick and choose my games.

I wonder if the amount of games on TV next season has an effect, and if this may be replicated across the EFL ?

For me it came down the awful performances in the second half of the season and simply no longer looking forward to attending matches. I’ll be pay on the day at the start of the season and if I start enjoying it again I’ll probably end up watching every game. Some decent signings as a show of intent will help too!!!

To add to Toppers list, there is one other annoying thing with the season tickets, and that is every season the club seem to bring the early bird purchase time forward. I now have to buy my ticket in March only a couple of months after the Christmas expense, before they go up in price. £400- £500.00 for a season ticket is allot of money to find after having spent out at Christmas and gives little time to save up the money. I used to be able to purchase the early bird tickets and the end of April. That coupled with price rises and getting rid of the payment plans just makes things more difficult for fans leading to lower sales. The club trying to rake in more money and earlier has back fired, the club need to concentrate more on customer care.

Making a few good signings early in the summer window would help justify the early bird getting earlier and earlier - never seems to happen for us. Might as well leave early bird prices in place until July if we are making most of our signings in the closing couple of days of the window!!!!

I’d guess we still sell quite a few in the weeks leading up to the season starting. Ideally I would of preferred to have waited and saw what players we signed but there’s a financial penalty to pay for waiting !
