Fans could look to get their own finance options to fund the purchase of a ST. The repayment rates could be more or less attractive than the club could offer. Not so sure it's that easy to get a loan for £400 at a reasonable interest rate if you haven't got a decent credit record, if you have then I doubt you're that worried about getting a loan to pay for your season ticket. It seems odd that other clubs still offer season ticket loans via an alternative loan company but Rovers don't. Having a decent credit record does not equate to be able to pay for a season ticket in a lump sum.

No but if you need a loan or an interest free credit card etc then it'll be far easier to get one than if you haven't got a decent credit score.

Don’t know about other people’s situation so can’t really comment about that. Generalising tends to upset people on the fringes and I suspect those are the people most affected? As a 65+ in the West Stand I was least affected by increases but the £15 charge annoys me intensely - especially as I suspect it is illegal by changing conditions after purchase. I agree that it is a shame not to encourage the youngsters. Short term isn’t what we need imo. I think i pointed out before that under the trading standards sale of goods act , you must sale at the price advertised, and cannot put up prices after the advertising at a lower price. So adding on £15.00 for a card which was not advertised in the original price is contravening the act. I think that is why the club have offered to refund season ticket holders who are not happy to pay the extra money, knowing that very few if any fans will ask for the refund.

It's not comparable to the Sale of Goods act. The club advertised a season ticket at a certain price and honours those prices. If an additional service over and above the minimum is required (ie a physical card in addition to the cheaper standard digital one) they are entitled to charge for it. It's quite within the letter of the law if not the spirit.

Not sure a card is an additional service as if you don't own a mobile device you can't use the service you've paid for, although Rovers seem to have accepted that by offering full refunds.

When I purchased my season card last season it included a letter that came with the card that stated the card could be used for a number of seasons. So when I purchased the ticket again this season I expected to be able to use the card , if that was not the case the club should have stated that at the time of purchase and included any additional cost in the price of this years ticket but they didn't.

This club does not give a crap that they are trying to fleece Normal supporters. I made the strongest possible complaint to Senor Gorringe. He said he would pass my comments on to the Board. That's it. It has been passed on. They should have issued all fans that renewed before the £15 charge was announced, a plastic card if required. Instead we have been deliberately misled by the thieves.

I read today the teds have sold 13-500 season tickets so far They sale about that number every season. Id say that's a fair representative of the support size of both clubs now. Id say it's 70/30 in there favour and it's only going to get worse for us.

Is there any possible way we could sell thousands of season tickets to supporters Under 12?
We could consider charging £65 for the season ticket in a prime spot and give a replica outfield shirt away free.
We could also contemplate losing the sum of £87.1million over three years.
Simples.

Might help boost ST sales if we named the 'secret 7' signed players that keeps being mentioned on here.
If they are any good that is..

With season ticket sales being down 1500 on last season I'm pretty sure they could have priced kids tickets at £50 a season without a free shirt and have sold quite a few hundred more including a few hundred more adults who would also have bought them to bring the kids. But what do I know. We're doing it the man city way which seems to be working out great 👍

£109 for an U14 ticket in the South Stand for 23 league games seems reasonable price to me, as that's less than a fiver a match.

I hope, having bit the bullet and accepted the decision that the way forward is an e-ticket on my phone, I will not be asked to pull my phone out of my pocket by anyone stewarding the game inside the stadium? The more times you have to juggle phone, pie and bovril the more likely you are to drop your expensive piece of technology! With a physical ticket that is rarely a problem.

If you have a seat I assume you'll need to show it when you get to your seat or anybody could just walk up and sit in it? Just get yourself a decent phone case and phone insurance!

More expensive than £15 for plastic card.
