I’d already heard Moore deal was done and two more close. Perhaps a triple announcement this week? Saint Matthew said "it's all sorted" when asked about signings as he was boarding his flight to Crete on Wednesday. Let's hope we have a squad to battle for top 6. 🏴☠️🤡 Poor matt interrogated by Reg too when on board, after being water boarded gave the same reply 😂😂

All this continual putting down of Matt Taylor is boring, pretty damn rude and far from funny.
'Saint Matthew' and 'Monotone Matt ' - I would expect from people not associated with our club -
We have a manager who is a seriously decent bloke, a family man and someone desperate for the club to succeed. Let's judge him on his signings and how he translates onto the pitch with his players.
Staying on Topic - Towler could be a decent signing if it happens, as for the done deals it will be interesting to see where they fit - The 'Big' One though is still in it's infancy, may not happen but the cheque book is out!!

Regardless of how good some of our new signings may be we need to do our best to keep Evans as well as Thomas and Connor Taylor.

For absolute clarity, "Saint Matthew" isn't meant in a derogatory way. Compared to the previous permanent incumbent, he's most certainly a Saint. As for him being a "seriously good bloke", that's great to hear and I wasn't aware you knew him personally. As for his managerial capabilities, he is yet to persuade many of us that he is what Rovers need, so your optimism is laudable. Everyone wants him to succeed surely? Hope all that is clear now. If Moore becomes a Rovers player, I wish him every success as with every player we have and have had, David Hillier excepted. UTFG 🏴☠️

Trouble is landing the big one without any of the better payers in the division being alerted that the player is available at a price we can afford. I don’t imagine Charlton are the only club in L1 who pay better wages than we do. Keeping deals secret is not in the interests of the players or their agents so even if our bid gets accepted by a club there is nothing stopping the player/agent advertising the fact that if those clubs match the bid and pay £x more a week than rovers are prepared to pay then they’ll get their man instead of us. Think it’s more likely we’ll uncover a gem at lower league level that doesn’t float the boat of the top teams but nevertheless will turn out to perform above expectations.

The likes of Charlton can't sign every decent player available, we've got to try and make sure we offer something the likes of Shrewsbury and Lincoln etc can't offer, although even teams like those two can't sign four first choice strikers etc.
