Previous managers have said that defenders are easier to sign earlier in the window. We have made a few creative additions, although we still need a few more. Unless you are buying a player from us and then it seems quite easy! To be fair, we signed Evans replacement before we sold him.

The transfer window reminds me of a house move chain.
No doubt there will many chess like moves.
It wouldn't surprise me if Peterborough looked at Connor Taylor following Edwards move to the Prem, so there could be scope for a new defender.

I don't think Hutchinson is a replacement for a Evans personally, he has played his best football playing CM You will never get two players the same, however, both are technically good, both score goals from long range and both are good at passing. I've not seen hut of Hutchinson play yet, but on paper he looks to have similar skills to Evans.

From what I've seen of Hutchinson on Wyscout he is a box to box midfielder, Taylor likes playing a creative CM alongside Conteh like he did with Aguilera and IMO that's how he will use Hutchinson

Not too keen on these untested defensive prem kids coming to us , they might be good players in the making but we seem to pay for their mistakes as they learn the ropes. Give me an experienced defender every time thanks. No. I like them yatton. In four years time we'll be making threads about all the former BRFC loan players who are playing for England. š UTG! Except Crama is French, Baggott plays for Indonesia and Forbes for NI. Anyway as for having too many defenders Iād rather that than have a situation like when we had to play Glen Whelan at centre half against Lincolnā¦that ended well!

Highly rated by a Season Ticket West Ham fan I was chatting with yesterday .... knew a lot about him as well which I thought was also promising.
If Elkan Baggott is not coming back as a permanent then lets get Michael Forbes in the building and continue to rinse out some of the decay we still have at the back.

Seems to have had an injury problem and says played 12 games last season - seems a good signing if fit but hope we are not responsible for wages if injured.

8 at the back this year maybe? Sorted that for you š 8 at the back and 2 up when defending, 4 at the back and 6 up when attacking. Sounds like 4-4-2 to me, it'll never catch on in the trendy world of attacking full backs and false nines.

5 at the back this year maybe? If we are planning to play 5 at the back, we're going to need 10 defensive players to cover injuries and dips in form, so I can see why we're signing so many. Also, our defense was so poor last season due to so many unfit players. We've cleared out a few of those, so we need to get bodies in, as fans will be in meltdown if that happens again.

I know he didnt set the world alight last season but there were moments that you could see why we signed him. It seems alot have written him off already which seems a touch unfair as I have seen many a player not have a great first season but then kicks on.

When he played in midfield he made a big difference at times and showed glimpses of the top player weād thought weād signed. Just as he got going he was left out, and then when brought back in it was as a centre forward which wasnāt the right role, as a few others gave just said. This whole āJevani is useless and lazyā thing is not justified in my humble opinion.

lets face it Taylor will know what Jervani Brown is capable of doing and if -as seems likely - we are going to play a mobile front line - then that would seem to suit his game.

We had 5 defenders leave and brought 5 defends in! Not like we didnāt need them I guess it gives the usual suspects something to moan about. Nothing to moan about but donāt want to see the likes of Connolly pushed out over Wilson. Sort yourself out shag! Donāt go off assumptions š

There is a good player in there and imo well worth keeping. Remember last season we were pretty useless as an attacking force and relied too often on having most players back to cover for an awful defence, with a more attacking approach Jevani could well get back the form he showed at Exeter and if he does then in the summer all these "supporters" will be moaning when he leaves for a free out of contract.
