In defence of Connelly I thought he looked much better when he came back from Morecambe and showed he does have the ability to be a league one centre half. He's still young and I'm sure he will go on to be a very competent lower league defender. I agree. Not totally against us recouping some money if he’s not part of the plans but for rovers fans anyone that isn’t superb is dismissed as useless! Or simply not good enough to take us to where we are aiming, JB decided he wasn't good enough after paying a big fee for him that's why he sent him out on loan, then once MT recalled him he then seemed to come to a similar opinion after just a few games. We all know Connolly was continually caught out by a ball over the top. |

The fact he's apparently off to a L2 club suggests he's not up to L1 football? All a bit strange how the Scouse MAFIA seems to have been totally disbanded, it does make you wonder what they were up to behind the scenes. I'm not sure it is. Some of them aren't good enough for us, one is too good for us. |

I think he’ll make it to L1 in his career. The lad played a massive part in our promotion, so wish him nothing but the best! |

I think he’ll make it to L1 in his career. The lad played a massive part in our promotion, so wish him nothing but the best! Agree that we need to thank him for his contribution in the promotion season and wish him well, but we've got to try to sell rather than sell him during his last season unless perhaps if we have an option to extend IF he improves to L1 standard. I would expect a loan to favour the side getting him, with anything from us paying some wages through to him returning to us if he gets injured. |
