A Rotherham fan on their forum seems to think Matt Taylor froze him out there  "Frozen out under Taylor and Richardson but wasn't a huge part of the latter Warne era either" Maybe MT feels he will be an asset in the league below. |

Better idea of his ability would be that Rotherham manager offered him new terms but the player turned down the offer |

May be the transfer fee was the issue, or how long a contract they were prepared to offer. |

I just had a look and he had an Achilles injury and only returned after Taylor was sacked. He was starting games the end of the previous season in the championship. So I'm not sure how he froze him out, unless they think the injury was a cover up. But then he wouldn't be interested in signing for us, if they didn't get on. Probably a forum rumour, that became fact, like in here 🤣 |

I like this signing a lot. 87 Champ + 50 L1 appearances with Rotherham, with two promotions from this level.
28 years old is a good age too. Seems to be a hardworking, pressing CM in a similar mould to Rossiter from what I've read?

Hutchinson a more likely starter than Brown? |

It looks as though we’re getting there - just need to sort out the “tip of the spear” as a priority now With Martin suspended for the first couple of games I suspect we’ll be playing with a Scottish national team style false nine, i.e a 4-6-0 formation!!! Hopefully I’m wrong and we’ll get a number nine in soon. |

Vote of confidence in Matt Taylor then, if he turned down Rotherham to sign for us.
If we can get one or two decent forwards in, I think this will be one of the best squads we have had at this level since Holloway, when we were going for promotion.
Brought in players that are close to the peek of their career or young and talented, good mixture.
