Respect to Matt Taylor who appeared to have some reservations on Scott- barely picking him. It's nice to see a manager have the humility to not be so absolute in his decisions.
I still imagine Scotty will feature as a sub as much as starting but I like this pick.

So who does it when Scott is on the bench? according to Dan H, there will be a "leadership team" under Scott Would imagine from the likes of Martin, Ward, Lindsay, Taylor and Moore?

Yes it must be emphasised Scott will be ‘Club Captain’, he is probably unlikely to start more games than he does. So really, it will be interesting to see who regularly leads on the pitch, I think it will be Moore.

I've always felt a captain should be a Midfielder someone experienced who can cast an authouritive competent eye on what's going on

I've always felt a captain should be a Midfielder someone experienced who can cast an authouritive competent eye on what's going on It surely also helps if the Captain is on the pitch more than on the bench, I could understand the logic if Sinclair was announced as Club Captain and AN Other as Team Captain. If this does mean that Sinclair is likely to be starting more game this season then where does that leave LT, as I can't see them starting many game together.

He has been named club captain, but the article omits the word club from its title.

In addition to a professional attitude, I think it's important to have experienced aproachable players at the club with knowledge of the local area so to help new players settle.

Wasn't Vaughan Jones the match day captain and Geoff Twentyman club captain, or was one captain and the other skipper?
Can't underestimate the role, Warren, Green, Jones all good at the role for me.
The scots lad in the last promotion season was good. Well respected by teammates, got stuck in and as sometimes needed in the modern game, dirty in the black arts sense.

Yes, GT was Club Captain and VJ bossed things on the pitch. I think that Scott will be an excellent Club Captain, a good leader and a role model for the younger players.
