Did the striker we signed from Leyton Orient play? Sitoriou I think the Cypriot chap. No he didn’t feature along obviously with the new player from Rotherham, out of the new signings Moore, Hutchinson & Bilongo caught the eye, definitely short of attacking options with the exception of Martin, thought the number 10 of Bath City was outstanding.

I did see that Rovers kept a lot of players out at half time for more running and again after the whistle so I'm expecting our players to be much fitter this season.
We definitely need to strengthen our attacking options too.

DH has been on holiday this last week. James Piercy covered the game but doesn't tweet anything Rovers related, he does mention Connolly was absent on his match updates on BL but not why he was missing, nor any clues as to why MT wasn't on the touchline. Taylor, in the second half at least, was sat at the back of the stand behind the dugouts. Presumably getting a different vantage point, especially as the teams for each half were obviously pre planned to play the full 45 each. He did go down during the second half to prompt the sub where no. 41 came off for no. 2, but then returned to the stand.

Ha! I’m only going for a trip down memory lane. Used to drive every weekend from Weston aged 17-18 and it was such a great time to be a young gashead! Real togetherness and fighting spirit. Hoping the toilets are the same. Will flash me back to 1990 See you all there! UTG The whole ground seemed unchanged. If £50 has been spent upgrading it, I didn`t notice. The toilets were even worse, if anything. There was enough uric acid on the floor, to dissolve a deep sea diver`s boots.

The toilets were even worse, if anything. There was enough uric acid on the floor, to dissolve a deep sea diver`s boots. I treated myself to a half time wee just for old times Unbelievable how they get away with those facilities! Makes the Mem bogs seem like a palace. I didn’t realise how uneven the terracing on the popular side was! Looks like one long row of water slides. I walked all the way around the ground as I’d only ever stood in one spot before as a youth, and its definitely got character! I’m pretty certain it’s completely unchanged from our days playing there. Not sure you would get League approval if we ever wanted to, but I’d be happy to see the likes of Birmingham come play there, the noise we used to make under that roof was incredible. Good day out, plenty of new green shirts everywhere, I stood second half behind the goal and chatted to Ollie Dewsburys mum who couldn’t have been prouder. Of all the players coming through at his age I like the look of him. Strong on the ball and likes to drive forward. UTG

It was all about fitness rather than tactics and he only changed things when it became obvious that we did not look balanced. He did tell the guy next to us that there could still be 5 or 6 signings to go but that depends upon existing players going out. NOt sure why Brown was having his own 1:1 training away from everyone else. it seems like he has a specific fitness issue

Saw in the clip of Martin’s goal that “no. 2” congratulated him and definitely wasn’t Connolly…was it that Sughayer chap again or was it young White as no.2 wasn’t listed in the relative starting XIs or amongst the subs?

Not sure why you got a dislike for giving a fellow gashead info but I appreciated it.

How did Ollie Dewsbury play?
From the pics he looks bigger than your average 16yo....is he a possible impact sub and the 'nippy forward' we need?

When I looked at your reply Onefindunford had disliked what you posted, which I thought was odd since you were just imparting information to a fellow gashead who didn’t know. Since then it appears the dislike has been retracted. Probably just fat finger syndrome, something I am prone to myself.

I really like him He looks strong and always looks to be progressive Not sure he’s quite ready for league one yet, but certainly one for the future. I think he’d benefit from a season at National League level, not sure he’s an out and out striker, more a No 10 or attacking midfielder. UTG

I think he definitely has a good career ahead of him....hopefully for us and he isn't poached! Think you're right about this season being too early for him....shame. Ideally NL 'til Jan. If he progresses then maybe L2 the 2nd half the season. Introduced to the 1st team at the end. Think sometimes we don't push our youngsters hard enough!
