Thought I'd start a general Olympics thread
The Paris Olympics starts with the Opening Ceremony on Friday July 26. It concludes on Sunday August 11.
The Paralympic Games will take place from Wednesday August 28 until Sunday September 6.

I'm totally disillusioned with it before it's even begun.
A British equestrian rider is not allowed to compete because she whipped her horse too much but a convicted child rapist is picked to play volley ball.
Seriously, WTF??
The IOC need to have a long look at their priorities.

Quite amazing to see the USA in seventh place in the medals table. Obviously they'll win a lot more and shoot up the table, but the boring days of total dominance in almost everything are long gone.

Not doing well in the boxing. They needed two medals to keep Lottery funding, we are 5 out of 6 down already.

Watched most of the fights so far and I definitely think we really really haven’t had the rub of the green . Should have had at least 3 ( probably 4) getting the nod , but at least one has won . We never seem to do too well with the judges at Olympics |
