GOAL: Yeovil Town 0-3 Bristol Rovers (McCormick) Tidy low finish from Luke McCormick, but another goal that comes directly from a Yeovil mistake, giving the ball away cheaply. Really hope we can get the real Macca back fit and firing this season . Top lad.

Sounds like our wingbacks are playing well and getting plenty of crosses in, plus Forbes looking quality.
Any other insights from anyone there?

Taylor just confirmed Ward to go out on loan Just read that. Hope it’s to a League 2 team. Disappointed I must admit.

We must be signing an older keeper if Wards heading out on loan?
Hope Martin and Thomas arent too badly injured.

I just want whoever is the best we can get at stopping balls going into our goal net. Precisely, it's like being disappointed that Hoole's left when it's obvious a fully fit Hunt is a better RB, our defence overall last season was shockingly bad so it's good to see MT's doing something to try and improve it.

Because id rather he was our no1 rather than another young loan Same. Unless Griffiths is next level Ward should be given the chance to make the position his There's no reason Griffiths isn't next level as he's older and a Championship reserve goalie, whereas Ward is likely to go out on loan to a L2/NL side.

Thought Joel Senior looked the pick of first half performers . A fit Jack hunt should be great competition for the right back spot this season!

Just got back. FWIW and aware that we were playing Yeovil who are NLS (well, nearly NL!) First half we had total control. 20 minutes before Griffiths had to do anything. After an hour when all the changes took place it became a bit more frantic though we could have got a few more. Some good partnerships passing 1/2 s, Senior and Taylor Moore and Bilongwe and Mola. I thought Senior looked good and Forbes very comfortable. I liked some of Hutchinson touches and he looked capable but there was no real space for him to run at the defence.. Several occasions when players went for the same ball and got muddled but got away with it. In a league match perhaps they wouldn’t. Kofi Shaw was excellent, good control and looked dangerous and was always looking to go forward. I hope he’ll be involved in the August matchdays before they decide to send him out on loan. Ollie D was lively and caused Yeovil a few problems. When Hunt came on he caused them problems and linked up well with Luke T who looked like he picked up a knock near the end.
A good run out to help everyone's fitness although a shame Luke T looked like his injury might be more than just a knock. Imo Senior looked good as did Bilongwe. I thought Shaw was great and Scott S looked fit and was chasing around and put in a real shift. Forbes and Mola looked comfortable and were never threatened but it was Yeovil and they didn’t look that good and the only chance they had was because we started messing about at the back in the second half. As to the No. 44 (?) who played wide on the left second half, I think he was the triallist. That wasn’t Sean Morrison. I don’t know who it was, others might do.
A good evening overall, and a nice quick 45 minutes to home!
UTG!

Just got back.
Some very positive signs! Played really well. Some great signings
But...... Despite the scoreline we were toothless up top. We would be found out at league one level.
We need TWO strikers. Especially with Martin off injured. Signings need to be in the mould/style of Jason Roberts.
