HEREFORD UNITED EXPELLED FROM CONFERENCE: Heartbreak for fans www.herefordtimes.com/sport/11268236.HEREFORD_UNITED_EXPELLED_FROM_LEAGUE__Heartbreak_for_fans/?ref=rssHereford United expelled from Football ConferenceHereford United have been expelled from the Football Conference following their failure to pay their bills. The club announced the news on their official Twitter account. The Bulls' fate has been in the balance since the full extent of their financial worries emerged in the weeks since their miraculous final day of the season escape sent Chester down. But Chester are now reinstated as a Conference Premier club and Hayes & Yeading will stay in Conference South. The Conference had originally offered the Bulls, who were taken over last week by London businessman Tommy Agombar, a deadline to pay their football creditors of 17:00 BST deadline on Thursday, 5 June. That was extended to the following day, then again to Saturday, 7 June and for a third time until Thursday, 12 June. But it became clear on Tuesday that they would not make that deadline - and the Conference have now acted. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27786442

Shame as it was a close game for many.
Lets hope those clowns at Wycombe suffer the same fate!

No sympathy for any team that doesn't follow the rules.
The clubs that lose out to those that don't follow rules should have our sympathy. At least this time justice has been done.

Hope that they are able to set up a new club asap and remain at Edgar Street. Very sad day for everyone associated with Hereford United football.
We have all been very low over the last month but what the Bulls fans are experiencing tonight must be complete and utter despair.
My heart goes out to them.

No sympathy for any team that doesn't follow the rules. The clubs that lose out to those that don't follow rules should have our sympathy. At least this time justice has been done. What rules have they really broken, apart from spending more on managers & players wages than they could obviously afford, clearly not helped by having to halve the wage bill following relegation last season and then trying to do similar this season. The only difference between Hereford and Rovers is their Chairman/Directors ran out of money but ours, so far, seem prepared to keep bailing us out, but don't forget NH admitted following our relegation he didn't have a clue how much it would cost us financially!

They should have off loaded players then and got in players on lower wages. I would assume that's one of the main reason JJ and Clarkson are no longer with us.
Other teams were clearly worse off by living within their means. I guess I am just tired of so many teams buying success or avoiding failure by bending financial regulations. Some clubs are serial offenders at this.
Maybe I should have been more sympathetic so I should clarify that I do feel sorry for the fans of Hereford.
However, I would rather see it as something to positive for Chester.

Feel sorry for the fans. I'm old enough to remember when they were in the Southern League, and knocked Newcastle Utd out of the FA Cup. One of the best pitch invasions ever, all those kiddies in Parka coats running on at the final whistle.
