Yesterday on the way home from working in Devon I stopped off to buy some Ashill Cider. Anyone else tried it? Very appley, on the sharp side. Not much in the way of tannins. I enjoyed it more the second day but possibly because I was very tired yesterday. Definitely wortH another sample next time I am passing. Bring your own container as the price for a container seemed a bit steep compared to others. The label is worth a look. A leggy showgirl high kicking witth the legend 'cider with a kick' Cue screeches from the uber feminists

Oh come on. About the only ciders worse are non dry blackthorn and strongbow (and strongbow is just a chemical formula)

Thatchers got to be the best! Henry Weston is nice as well.

Not easy to get hold of unless you pass the farm but Ben Crossman's Farmhouse dry is my personal favourite. (Hewish on the way to Weston)

Having to make do with Blackthorn at the moment but apparently Thatchers is in its way. UTG!

I like most of the Henry Weston's range. So do I. Only ever had Old Rosie, The organic one (can't remember what it's called) and their scrumpy that comes in a 2 litre jar. All very nice and readily available in Morrisons just down the road from me. About the same distance as scumbury's but used a lot more these days

Old Rosie works for me, if you must. When i lived in somerset I used to travel to west pennard and got my cider from Frank Naish and his bother. You can't beat local cider instead all this mass produced stuff!

Black Rat and Cheddar Valley. I sampled a great hybrid called Pyder (Perry and Cider combo)
The gas infused, pasturised dross mentioned on this thread is for the tasteless lager boys.

Well with it St. Piran's day today I'll be wetting my lips on a nice Cornish Orchards Gold cider. Quickly followed by a Rattler.
