Really impressed tonight. For starters we look a lot more fitter than last season. And we got the pace there now we can press high up and aggressively. Promise and Shaw were the standouts for me promise looks like a striker we’ve been missing for a while a lump win flick ons , fast and very aggressive. Then shaw we won’t have him for long hope we can tie him down to a long term contract before it’s to late .fast, likes a tackle gets stuck in then can find a pass I’d say box to box midfielder . Shout out to the Trialist,Macca,Forbes,Lindsay and Thomas who I thought were very good also.

Seen a couple of game's now and very positive about the season ahead.
Mccormick MoM for me. awesome best game since his first stint with Rover's.
Micah Antony (44) needs to be signed
Griffiths in goal was outstanding. Result was a bit false because of him.
Promise Omochere is going to score loads of goals. A bully and a handful up top!
We need another striker we were toothless when Omochere went off.
Formation 3-5-2
Plymouth 3-4-3
Plymouth changed to 3-5-2 at HT to counter Rover's. That's a complement for a team a division above to do that.

Another good workout.
Many players making a strong case to start the league season.
The overall squad appears to be a step up on recent seasons.
Promise is destined to become a fans favourite.
Several young and/or inexperienced players are making an impact.
New keeper is a good shot stopper but not so competent as Belshaw/Ward at sweeping.
Luke McCormick and Luke Thomas are full of energy. Pressing play impressive.
N.B. Two key front players are not part of the squad at present.
The FIRST 11 is not obvious or evident. This is a good sign.
Plymouth gave us a good game tonight.

Very honest performance from the team… tackling, running and above all anticipation was very good. Some did far better than others… Griffiths is getting better each game - was excellent tonight . Like the look of Micah our trialist … could be a good addition. Hoping one or two will be moved on . Striker and a Winger please and Thunderbirds are Go! Each player before the subs put in a great effort. Their back line really struggled in posession and there were plenty of wayward balls that we were able to pounce on. Griffiths made some great saves. Looked a really good keeper. A fantastic diagonal ball to Thomas to run onto in the 2nd half too. Yeah 44 Micah was brilliant. Showed a footballing awareness beyond his years. Would be a coup if we could sign him. |

It's mental that even without an academy we have a player with such quality coming through. He will be a one season wonder for us and then he will be playing at a higher level. |
