Another MoM performance and penalty save. Getting rave reviews from FGR fans, including this… “ Jed is an unbelievable goalkeeper. His punching and collecting of crosses so good obviously the pen save too. ” Not bad for a shorty 🤣 Can’t be true - no rovers keeper ever saves a penalty 😂

But ... as you said back in July, Griffiths is still our number one at this time, so perhaps Jed getting more game time and shot-stopping experience is a good thing overall? Who said it's a bad thing? I think I must have read your post the wrong way - apologies.

Why would anyone think Forest Green would be in the promotion shake up? I can only see them heading back down the leagues after their overachieving days in the sun! I know they’ve only played eight games, so no way I’m saying FGR will definitely get promoted, but the reason I think they will be in the promotion shake up is a very simple one; Steve Cotterill.

Watched FGR tonight, can't see anything other than automatic promotion or via play offs, rediculous quality throughout the squad for non league, organised, disciplined, seem to have a real togetherness,Jed had little to do though his distribution was excellent and often applauded by Cotterill.

Best keeper I've seen put on the shirt. Too young for Nige I'm afraid!

Come to think of it, Fraser Forster was incredible too in the short time he had with us on loan from Newcastle. Andersen was superb in his first spell and I fully expected him to eventually be playing for a Top 10 Premier League club (or European equivalent) and be Denmark's number one. Wasn't the same when we resigned him, looked like he'd put on some serious weight over the summer and didn't seem the same. Not sure how reliable his Wikipedia page is, but doesn't have a lot of appearances to his name so has perhaps been largely a back-up keeper.

He did go on to play for FC Midtjylland and played in the game where Midtjylland beat Man U 2-1. Totally agree though, fully expected him to be a top top keeper but it never panned out.

Been to the last couple of home FGR games and can't really recall any saves of note. However, his distribution has been excellent. As soon as he catches a ball everyone has made themselves available for a quick outlet. Something we have failed to do.

irks me a bit we are helping them out with players, especially at the moment with that bellend as manager

Think he could have done one div higher easily, maybe Chelts, but hopefully all to our benefit in the long run. Maybe we recall him if he makes the play off final (joke!)

Jed needs 40+ games this season, even if it's at a slightly lower level, the lessons he will learn in what is a largely physical league will do him wonders. Wouldn't be surprised if they go up as champions and they loan him for another season in L2.

Another man of the match performance and clean sheet for Jed yesterday. He is ours and will be our no1 next season I hope. Relying on loan keepers finally coming to an end.

Any reason Ward wasn’t in the squad yesterday? If at our request, you’d have to assume we are bringing him back in Jan.
