Getting rid of the best players is going well then? Bournemouth are one of the stronger teams in the league this season and the step up is a bigger one than the women’s team have experienced to date so it was always going to be tough and it will be a tougher challenge this year than they’ve experienced before… Imo we’ve recruited in better players than those we did not contract for this season (none of the previous players were under contract and all were equivalent of free agents at the end of last season as registrations are done season by season in the amateur leagues) on a number of different fronts but only time will tell…. that’s not to say that any were poor players and all had individual strengths, but in my personal opinion I think those brought in are better all round players…. If we can finish mid table this year then that would be a fantastic result as it’s a season to stabilise and build foundations in the higher level |

There league game was cancelled and played a friendly game against a team 2 tiers lower I know…. But we can only beat what’s in front of us and 10 goals is still a decent achievement…. I still think if we can finish mid table it’ll be a fantastic achievement for us… to get up higher will take time, money and a bit of luck but certainly not unthinkable… |

Gas Girls continued their excellent form with a cracking 4-0 victory at home with 4 excellent well taken goals (and a goal disallowed and hitting the bar and oppo keeper making some good saves)… For me Buxton’s (No 15) goal was the pick - 25 yard angled drive lobbing the keeper and she looks a proper talent, great feet , tricks and movement and the ball just seems to stick to her as she got out of tight spaces or beat the full back time and time again….
Moves them up to 4th I think….

I went yesterday with my daughter , good game and she enjoyed it.
Crowd was given out as 208 ! There was def more than that , so I’m guessing they weren’t counting free entries by season ticket holders?

Yep I was there too with my daughter and 2 of her friends and I thought the same in that it was a larger crowd than they announced… definitely a good watch and enjoyable… |
