Very frustrating and worrying. The lack of fire power is very concerning... Everyone wants a 1 in 3 striker... we look like a 1 in 3 team. Think we need an attacking Mid and a Striker. An admission that we haven’t got it right? We have Hutch, McCormick, Shaw, Garrett…. Personally I thought we just looked sluggish with Ward and Conteh not able to drive forward, whereas their midfield was excellent. Where was Lindsay today? Injured? Getting the balance right in the middle will enable us to be more dangerous going forward. Time to be brave and give Shaw a go behind a front 2? UTG I liked Conteh. Largely thought he was the best player on the pitch and Ward does ok. But the two ahead of them don't move the ball quick enough. |

Yeah… not sure what that was all about 🤔. Not too difficult to understand. I don’t understand it? I know Barton didn’t get on with Taylor back from the Exeter days? A hangover from that? I don’t see why Taylor would be at fault for Mangan not getting the Rovers job? |

Uh, well, yes. From a fortuitous home win, barely deserved, and an away draw which was similarly fortuitous. Today should be no surprise. A barely deserved home win and a fortuitous away draw? I don't really post on here much..... but I don't know who or what you are, but over the last hour you have 1) insulted a long term supporter of the club and 2) been pretty obnoxious, to anyone who has a slightly different view on things at the moment. Maybe you should have a look in the mirror and calm down a bit. |

MT’s big challenge is to get that middle ticking!! I agree with this, we don't seem to have control of the midfield. We really are missing someone to put thier foot on the ball and knit things together. Sad to say, I'm not sure if Ward has the legs for the role he is being asked to play? Conteh was decent today. |

Maybe you should have a look in the mirror and calm down a bit. Welcome to this chat! Fans will be getting on Rich’s bus every win and then saying we are relegation certainties after a defeat! Don’t get too downbeat, for me we are a new team and mostly a young one, we will go through many downs through the season, our home form will be crucial hopefully in front of a noisy encouraging fan base. I thought that was just what Ward was good at, his performance in his last game before injury at Ipswich being a good example, you sense now he's being told to act as a DCM, alongside Conteh and let Hutchinson be the play maker, unfortunately, he looks another Westbrook, so far, just too lightweight for a Rovers side. Further forward who in their right minds would pay £500K for a striker with a goal scoring record like Promise's? |

A new team needing to know their teammates game.
Stabilise this season and push on next season.
Personally, I expect us to be 16th-18th but hope Jed comes back better, the defence gets more organized, Ruel and Promise settle in and Kofi gets a few league games.

Listening to MT on RB there would seem to be no urgency to bring in a striker … Unless the owners have given him absolute assurances I think sadly that if we don’t find someone it will cost him his job. MASSIVE week ahead. Totally agree with you -- A massive week ahead that may determine an OK season or one where we will struggle. Regarding todays game we need to add some quality to midfield ( well someone who can drive forward and pass to one of our own players at least ). I'd look at offloading McCormack & Brown as well. Up front I thought Promise did well but he needs support and is certainly not a number 9. We need to recruit for that position. And today if it was'nt for our goalie it could have been 5. |

Have to agree , considering Taylor finished 15th last season , between 16th and 18th seems like a backward step. |

After watching this we need two decent midfielders with some passing knowledge and at least a good forward.
I suspect we will end up like Rotherham last year and be relegated unless the so say manager gets his finger out.

I like Promise but he reminds me of Brandon Hanlon who we played as a No 9 though he had played the previous season out wide for Gillingham.
Both work very hard and give 100% but not natural goal scorers.

How many CM's can the club afford in one window, since MT was appointed he's signed Conteh for £250K, renewed(?) Ward's contract and signed Lindsey and Hutchinson? What I can't understand is why he's playing with wing backs when we don't seem to have an experienced fit WB in the squad, not sure if Senior is a WB or FB? |
