blessing in disguise, still not fussy for him and we should be looking at other options upfront.
Given how long it takes him to get fit, we wont see him till Jan now when he would be free to talk to other clubs.

You beat me to it, obviously it's never nice to see players injured but if the temptation was too go with what we had this kind of forces our hand. Martin hasn't looked fit in the games he's played, hopefully we have a back up plan in place |

On the back of the Chris Martin news, Matt Taylor also confirmed the club feels a signing is close. Did also admit they’ve been looking to sign another striker so hoping the two complement one another and they have another figure up top in before Saturday. #UTG

Tbh, it was a really poor challenge from behind which the ref gave nothing for - awful officiating.

Hes a clever fox in the box but im sceptical that he would have scored 10 goals this season. He's not quick, tricky or scores from outside the box and given that we dont really work the ball into the box i'm not sure hes the best fit.
I'd prefer another option or even putting McCormick or Kofi in as breaking midfielders to support Promise

Sometimes it’s just a kids time and he has that exuberance we need. Play him. |

If that doesn't kick anyone's @ss into signing a hungry young striker, proven at this level, I don't know what will...?
We can't now rely on an aging striker, someone else now has to step up
Of course, prepare to be disappointed with little or no movement in that department.....and hence, another campaign to reflect it.
You just know we'll grab a rookie kid loanee that no one has heard of, from a division or two above, and everything will probably be as dysfunctional as always.
But MT has had 2 windows....this could be a pivotal moment in his tenure here.

What was the thought process in letting people know that Martin is out for 8 - 10 weeks today, rather than on Saturday ?
a) It can't help in our negotiations if we are looking to buy someone, as we clearly need someone
b) Might it put some pressure on the owners to dig deeper, perhaps something they haven't been looking to do ?
