Just back to Dorset after a great day out.
Good all round team performance. Pressed well, linked up nicely, good signs.
GRIFFITHS 8 - superb save first half, good distribution, a fantastic signing
MOORE 8 - solid, calm, composed, very good player
WILSON 8 - Back to his best, commands the back line, seems to prefer a back 3
MOLA 9 - just love this guy. Solid, skilful, strong, what a find
THOMAS 8 - defends with his life, and a threat going forward.
WARD 7 - better. Still getting up to speed, he’s a class act
GARRETT 8 - very good game, got stuck in, moments of class in driving forward.
BILONGO 7 - asset in the air, looks a bit raw at times but plays for the shirt, we all love that attitude!
CONTEH 8 - breaks up play, keeps it simple. Very good signing.
SOTORIOU 8 - ran his socks off, moments of class with the ball at his feet, hit the post
OMICHERE 10 - MOM performance from our big No 9. Scored, held it up well, chased, harried, all we could ask for!!
All subs a solid 7
Ref not too bad, 6
Cambridge tried to play but had no cutting edge, a 5
All in all an encouraging display. This team has a bit of pace and flair but most importantly looks solid as a unit.

Griffiths - 7.5 - solid Moore - 8, great cross for the second goal Wilson - 7.5 - solid Mola - 8 - much better than I expected, didn't Reading want to keep him? Thomas - 8 - did loads of good work, in attack and defence, lovely pass for the opener Ward - 7.5 - did well I thought, especially in the first half Garratt - 7.5 - liked him, some good touches and thoughtful play Conteh - 7.5 - solid doesn't quite do him justice, covered lots of ground Bilongo - 8 - lovely assist for the second goal, and a bit like Mola in that he looked a cut above what I was expecting Sotiriou - 7.5 - good first half, looked a bit tired before being subbed Omechere - 8 - slightly fortunate for the first, lovely second goal. Good display all round. Looked a bit tired before coming off. McCormick - 7.5 -good cameo, best of the subs Odonker - 7 - got stuck in Sousa - NOLE - barely noticed him Sinclair - 7 - I did notice SS, lovely cross for the header from, I think, Mola, and he should have done much better with the chance that came his way Taylor 7 - got stuck in Ref - 7 - for a while in the first half it looked like he was going to be one of those refs who blow for everything, but he got better as the game progressed. Cambridge - 6 - not too bad, their number 36, Barton, looked promising when he came on as sub, he is from their youth set up I think. |

Moore 8 steady.

Bilongo 7.5 nice assist and strong in defence.
Sotiriou 7.5 great to see a striker having a go.
Omechere 8.5 m o m took 2nd goal well.
McCormick 6 made not much impact.
Odonker6 can't remember anything significant.
Sousa 7 shored up the RHS.
Sinclair 6 fluffed one good opportunity.
Taylor 7.5 best of subs with timely intervention from them hitting bar.
Ref 7.5 steady.
Cambridge 5 I see them in bottom third finish on this performance and would hope we were a bit ahead of them.
Defensively there were errors that we punished and their main possession was in their own half.
They did have their chances, hit bar 3 times and we dealt with their threats more than they could deal with ours.... credit to MT and players for this dominant win.

Griffiths 7.5 a Massive presence one good save. Moore 8.5 what a great signing,brilliant cross to set up second goal Wilson 8 a steady game, it shows just how unfit he was last season. Mola 8 Reading must have one hell of a player to be able to bin him,he really fits in on the left side. Thomas 8.5 lively game, i still prefer him further up the park but with Hunt and Senior out he's an able deputy Ward 7 a better game, there's no doubting his quality when fit. Garratt 7.5 an energetic game,he'll become an important player as the season progresses. Conteh 7.5 patrolled the middle and protected the defence well. Bilongo 7 ganging,awkward, very difficult to mark , he received the wonderful cross and set up Promise second goal. Sotiriou 8 he looks fit at last and never stopped running,he's the Collins replacement we've badly missed. Omechere 9.5 M.o.M this guy has the lot,energy strength,strong in the air and an eye for goal,we paid a lot of money and he's looking to be well worth it.. McCormick7.5 an ideal replacement later on Odonker 6.5 Sousa 6 Sinclair 6 Taylor 7 Ref 7 decent Cambridge 5.5 they tried to play decent football but overall look a side destined to struggle. |

From 15 ratings Omechere was our MOM on 8.63.
Moore scored 8.1 and Thomas and Mola both scored 8.0.
Our lowest scorers were all subs.
Sousa scored 6.3, Odonker 6.33 and Sinclair 6.4.
The Ref scored 6.13 and Cambridge 5.1.
