We have made a good start, much better than some predicted. We have four games to come in September all playing teams near us and some very winnable. It’s pretty realistic to expect us to win our home games.
We are a team that is becoming solid in our defensive formation and for sure individual players performances are giving us confidence that we don’t ship goals anymore and with that the opportunity to win games.
I’ve been chatting to people on the bus. Some are of course realistic about our ability to get say 7pts out of a possible 12. Seven points look achievable and a few are happy with this outcome.
Others on the bus and in the dressing room will take one game at a time and believe that we can get 12pts from the games in this list. What a start this would be. Our hopes for the season would be high. So Ground-Breaking Achievement of 12 pts is on for some.
Some on the bus say we could win three and lose one. Some think it’s super possible we can stretch to winning three of these matches below.
I’m aiming high and really think we are a team that are going to surprise many this season.
Barnsley A ✅ WiganH ✅ Peterborough A ✅ Wycombe H ✅
Bus is out of the garage and ready for passengers. It’s fun on this bus. Lots of super kind fans enjoying the ride again.
Is 12pts in your thinking or are some of us too positive, too hopeful and too optimistic again? 😃

Dan H said 7 points would be very good. Personally think that would be outstanding. Never get anything at Barnsley or Peterboro, Wycombe our bogey side.
However, think we have a fair chance in all 4 of these Sept games with the team we are building. Get 7 or above and I'll be chief bus hype man with you Rich!

1W 2D 1L = 5 points, would be a decent return I reckon.

2 x 7 points out of 12, that would be 80 points in the season...
I would take 5 and so 12 points out of a possible 24 so far in the season 69 points overall.

TBF woodwork has saved us a few times so not getting carried away but there have been some improvements.

You’re going to need a train not a bus by the time Christmas comes.

7 points, my worry is we need another goalkeeper! Not worried about the tykes game as DC is not that type of person but the three games after that worries me about forwards roughing up our goalie.

I’ve said it on a few threads, not having a keeper on the bench is a big gamble. Not sure what Hall must be thinking? Surely having a choice of 6 outfield players is plenty? Would like to see an experienced out of contract keeper join, would put us in a much better position. UTG

Unless MT has been trying to play mind game with Hall to try an force him to move out on loan I'm not sure why he's not been on the bench, as surely he's better than an outfield player going in goal even if he's not that great himself.

I get that everyone is optimistic after the recent win and clean sheets in other games, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
We've got 4 tough games coming up and I’d be more than happy getting 4 points from them. Realistically, Unlikely to get anything from Barnsley and Boro, so anything from those games is a big bonus.
Think we could get wins vs Wycombe and Wigan, but they won’t be easy.

I can't recall us ever getting many good results v Wgain either, although if the table is a true reflection of their performances so far this season then none of those sides are looking particularly strong at the moment, probably Barnsley looks the toughest of the 4 just when Conteh is missing.
