Has anybody changed their travel arrangements for HOME matches this season?
The future enlarged stadium is likely to provide less on-site car parking provision.
Plans are definitely afoot to provide more and better cycling facilities.
The proposals to provide an e-scooter "travel hub" is a positive step forward.
Ashley Down station, a 15 minute walk away, is due to open in the near future. Filton Abbey Wood rail station is available already.
A surprisingly large number of trains, from many directions, are going to stop at the new Ashley Down rail station.
It is possible that there will be an expansion in AWAY fans travelling by coach if capacity increases.
This will further decrease the availability of parking spaces for HOME supporters.
Revised bus timetable changes mean that large numbers of buses can be used in Filton Avenue and nearby on Gloucester Road.
Possible pre-match and post-match road closures for the anticipated larger attendances will also impact the use of private motor cars.
If you have not changed your travel arrangements this season it could be worthwhile the club understanding the barriers.
If you have changed your travel arrangements for HOME matches this season it could be of interest to other supporters knowing how it is working out.

Hoping to drop into the stadium via a drone from Yatton .

A very small percentage of matchday attendance actually uses the carpark. For all the parking issues people moan about around the Mem I’ve never managed to not find a space within 5 mins walking distance away when I drive to home games.

My office is 5 minutes away from Temple Meads so hoping Ashley Down is ready before the Tuesday night games in October, not to mention the Australia match on the 29th!

A new bus timetable has been in operation since 1st. I very infrequently use it but good if you know you are going to have a couple after a match.
I seem to recall the 17 bus which goes up Muller Rd from Eastville, Fishponds, Kingswood etc and was very popular in the past, did not run after 8pm in midweek last season, so may have put off people attending Tuesday night games.
Hopefully the bus company have done something about that.
Surprised the club has not done more to try and promote some kind of car sharing in it's efforts to appear more green. I would imagine there are a few people that walk up Muller Rd from Eastville park, that can be picked up on the way.

Rail companies will sometimes delay the last train for evening football matches so that fans can get home.

Rail companies will sometimes delay the last train for evening football matches so that fans can get home. Going to be very tight according to the current timetable - think it was 10pm Tuesdays to TM, too tight to risk getting back to Bath anyway.

Future train times at Ashley Down station is probably a reflection of usage.
Hopefully, many away fans will be using the service as well as home supporters.

Started cycling to home games last season largely because of the bus route road works up Muller Road.20 minutes each way, used to take that long just to walk to the car!
Email the club over a year ago asking if they could upgrade cycling facilities, better bike parking areas, coin lockers for cycling gear while in the ground...nothing...

Train from Yatton to Temple Meads and No.74 to the Mem.
Used my car last season but had to arrive around two hours before kick off to be able to park within reasonable walking distance

Lets hope so, I even cycled for night games mid winter, ok weather unpleasant sometimes but it is so much easier get there then getting home, plus great for health too. If the club are serious, cyclist lockers and an impressive bike rack like they have at Temple Meads station all under cover would be much appreciated

You must be sweaty mess by the time you get to the Mem. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t stand in the Thatchers end….we all would.
