TAYLOR loves blowing smoke up the oppositions arse! I said this last season and was grilled by a few on here for it. It’s basically telling are players we are underdogs each time we play. I bet he couldn’t even name the squad if he was to be asked ( Wycombe) it I was the interviewer that’s the question I’d be asking. As he would know all 11 players playing in an incredible side…. This is a little damned if you do and damned if you don't. If he says its good opposition then he is blowing smoke up their arse. If he says we are the better team then he would be accused of doing the opposition team talk for them. What do you do? 🤷♂️ I`d simply say, "We`ve got a decent squad of players here, and I trust in their ability to get a positive result on Saturday."

He will be gone after we lose the next two games 100% Hopefully we get 6 points from the next two games. Not that I ever gamble, but wouldn't want to bet a kidney on that outcome though. 🏴☠️

The performance/result will be interesting to see if MT really goes for hoof ball against probably the worse team L1 to do it against, perhaps it's all a bit of kidology? Having now listened to the interview I get the impression MT just wants us to play on the front foot going forward rather than start playing hoof ball. The problem is saying that and his players actually doing it are two different things. It sounds like O'Donker is a nailed on starter upfront.

how much money have you put on that then? Nothing ...... Yet :-) I feel he has until Christmas, although the pressure will Really be on the board if the next 3 games are poor. We just can’t leave it too late like Cheltenham did and end up in a relegation scrap. Really, he needs to be gone by the end of October if performances are poor to give us a good chance of staying up. Having a new manager again isn’t ideal but I have to say so far this has been a very poor appointment. It seems the majority of the Rotherham fans had the same issues as 50 percent of our fan base so. For me, if he performs then that’s all that matters but I get the impression he doesn’t really like the Gas’s fan base and constantly has a sly jibe at us. No mention of fans when we suffer a dire result and their long travel to the away games. He’s ex Exeter and Cheltenham after all. It’s a shame that if a manager falls below a certain win ratio they have to take a 50 percent pay off, if any of us slack in our job we are fired out with no pay. Let’s see what Taylor can do but I sense slowly fans are becoming frustrated and if we don’t get a result tomorrow or put in a shift there will be lots of Boo’s at halftime.

Why don't you give the bloke a chance, you all jump on the bandwagon after 2 defeats if the team gets seven points out of the next ten you'll be calling him a good manager and we're on our way to a top twelve. it makes me sick on here with some of tthe comments it's a long season get behind him and the team.if we're crap after 15 games then you can have a moan. I don't think this team will be.but, who am I to speak after watching Rovers for 70 years,oh I'm 77 now.UTG

I very much doubt if we fail to perform against Wycombe & Charlton at the Mem and Burton that away we're suddenly going to improve against Blackpool and Huddersfield, when they are both likely to be top 6 sides. MT really has the next 3 games to get some decent results, if he can't you really have to wonder if he's up to the job in hand.

I hope he turns things around but my gut feeling is that he won’t - players seem to be going backwards under his leadership and confidence seems to drain from the players very quickly when we concede. If performances and results continue like they are at the moment too much damage could have been done by Christmas - I’d make a change before then so a new manager is settled, has had a chance to fully assess his squad and prepare for the transfer window. Things could get quite toxic if we lose the next two home games but I certainly won’t boo at h/t or f/t (that’s if I make it to f/t after leaving on 80 mins at the Wigan game!!)

It's looking totally unconvincing in every game so far. The fear I have, shared by many by the looks of it, is that it doesn't improve pretty quickly the situation will be beyond retrieval.

I want the Gas to win like anyone else, I want Matt Taylor to succeed.. problem for him is that he is really the only voice of the club... Never hear from the owners unfortunately in any form, so when Matt speaks, he needs to say the right things and also needs to get a team winning.
I've heard rumours that his methods are old fashioned, like no music before games, sounds ludicrous to me if true, let the players enjoy themselves, let them get prepared in thier own way...might just see them step up..
