Did he? He’s good at popping his head up when things are going well. There have been several incidents of silence from WAQ when things weren’t rosey and well. What would you want to hear from the owners right now? I never said I did. I merely pointed out that the thought Wael made an effort is incorrect. Numerous times Twentyman said on having a has he had invited Wael on and he had rejected the invitation. He did go on after some good news stories came out but he hid away often as well.

Why? Bristol Rovers has been the only consistent in my life for nearly 49 years. Why would I want a life away from that? It’s a big old world out there, pal. If your whole life is centred around a third division football club I find that quite sad. What if I've already explored that big wide world and found that a third division football club is where I'm happy to centre my life around.

Then that means you’d have spent some time away from the football club at one point and you’re in fact….a plastic fan. I did. I lived in a couple of different countries for about 4 years. I was waking up at 3am to constantly refresh the BBC sport website as there was no way I could sleep knowing that Rovers were playing. My definition of plastic is not living in another country, it's expecting a certain level of entertainment and not going because the entertainment level isn't to the expectation. That's plastic. That's the prawn sandwich brigade that have ruined football.

Listen up 79, your whole life should be revolved around BRFC and if you don’t spend every single Matchday at the Mem or an away ground because it’s sh**e and life has given you other options then you’re a plastic fan.

Luckily I am on antidepressants. #bekindinyourcomments Sorry to hear that, I hope that they give you the help you need. I have previously done a course of Sertraline. Reading your post before this one you should be careful on the beer with those, it won’t help.

Some ground news, they have been were a year now, Premiership and Championship statements, about time they put a bit of meat on the bone? Rovers have been consistent in my life for 41 years, all those years a 200 mile round trip for every home game. A season ticket now for 26 years. Dad is 78 now, he drives us on occasions still but I do most games now and for the last 2 years the drives home have been flat and asking ourselves why? The crystal meth of the DC promotions wore off a long time ago, followed by a period in rehab with Tisdale, Joey gave us another hit but it was a cheap version. It feels like rehab again, I need what you are on brother! Identity, is the fan zone part of this, a bodge job knocked together prepack stand, I mean in 2023 who builds a new stand with stanchions in the way?! An identity of a fan base at Udders singing for a wife beater to be back in charge as well. An identity where people from Kuwait think nothing of our child supporters with parents and rip them off with season ticket hikes? The fans are stopping going, you can’t deny the attendances, season ticket sales down, now a manager playing handbrake football. When do you want the medal ceremony, old Tutton will do it, resigned over knife crime from a charity but selfies with Joey Barton beating up women and hammering female referees. More on the identity front. The club needs a proper ownership and fan engagement, when the American Millwall chairman passed away there was an outpouring for him but some of the hardest ruthless fans in the country, I have no good will towards this lot running us.

I do think if you don't go to games then you do lose a bit of your opinion. It's like that Liverpool fan mate who was born and brought up in Bishopston. When he complains that Liverpool has lost a game in 10. He doesn't really know the heart break that football can deliver.

You are talking to people who have been constants at the gas and still go to games but have decided that it’s not for them every week. It is nothing like a Liverpool fan from the other end of the country who has never been to Anfield. You are comparing an apple and a cashew nut.

Luckily I am on antidepressants. #bekindinyourcomments If that’s true I’d have thought you would be more mindful of throwing abusive terms like “plastic” at fans who don’t follow your ideal definition of what it means to be a fan.

Are you being serious? I can't tell if this is just a 'wahay'. Do you volunteer at the ground? 1 Yes 2 Not sure what you mean 3 No Going to the Rovers, having a few beers and catching up with mates is the highlight of my week. Fair enough. There'll be quite a few in the same boat. BTW, I'm happy being a plastic(by your description) because I'd rather spend £200 a month doing other things over travelling to that dump, not enjoying the game, cringing at peoples behaviour, getting ripped off for sh** booze in a plastic glass. That being said, I've many mates at the club, know a few staff members and consider myself a proper Rovers supporter. I'll go to the odd game but I prefer just following online these days as the disappointment isn't so bad and my living room is better for my mental health than standing at the Mem. If one day, we get with the times and have an average stadium with average comfort(i don't want much, average is 40 clicks better than current), plus have a style and team that look like they give a f**k..I might start bringing the family and watch a few games more.

Luckily I am on antidepressants. #bekindinyourcomments So am I. Which is all the more reason for me NOT to watch Rovers lose week in week out in a dilapidated ground where the higherarchy think domestic violence is a victimless crime. It's Dam depressing. #not plastic #bekindinYOURcomments

What would you want to hear from the owners right now? A vote of confidence and unity in the manager[1]. Some ground news[2], they have been were a year now, Premiership and Championship statements, about time they put a bit of meat on the bone?[3] Rovers have been consistent in my life for 41 years, all those years a 200 mile round trip for every home game. It feels like rehab again, I need what you are on brother![4] Identity, is the fan zone[5] part of this, a bodge job knocked together prepack stand[5], I mean in 2023 who builds a new stand with stanchions in the way?! To many questions for this time of night, but here are a couple of answers: 1. We were talking about the vote of confidence at the Shrewsbury game. The conclusion we came to is that the vote of confidence comes just before the sacking. We are advertising for a head of HR, so maybe once they are in place the owners can give their full backing to the manager and then sack him the following week. For someone who knows so much about football, I am really surprised that you think the owners should say something about the manager. 2. I really do think we have news just around the corner. We know they have spoken to the residents, I fully expect an announcement before the end of the season. These things take time to be done properly. We tried the quick fix approach with the South Stand that probably still cannot be used at full capacity. 3. The owners have told us their strategy and their actions have backed that strategy. Buy young players and aim to generate income from selling players and having sell on clauses. That approach started this year. I can see Conteh being sold in Jan for £1m and fans complaining about that! I think they have been reasonable clear with what they are trying to do. 4. We could get some really Bristol identity into the fanzone if we wanted. Unfortunately, the £ signs are seen rather than the value being added. I was very disappointed to hear that Bristol Beer Factory is served at the fanzone at Ashton Gate. Let's get some of the local brewery's up to our fanzone. Bristol is a massive beer brewing city. Then there is the food. we have such a multi cultural city, the fanzone could be a celebration of that. 5 It's an improvement on the tents, that can't be denied. You know the cantilever issue, so there was no way to build that without having support struts. I think it's lovely that you and your father get to games. I never had that opportunity. I had a grandfather who used to watch Rovers one weekend and City the next and a Father In Law that treated me like his son. You are very lucky that you both can spend the time together, even those journeys home when you look at each other with a "FFS" look in your eyes is time to be cherished. I'm discovering how devastating dementia can be with my Father In Law. He doesn't remember who I am now. But I remember the times that we got into trouble together and still smile about those times.

I'm a firm believer in attacking the post, not the poster. I have said that people turning their back on Rovers due to results are "Plastics". I haven't singled out any individual as a plastic.

You are being difficult here and it is on purpose. You have chosen to call fans who don’t go for certain reasons “plastics” on a thread where people are giving those very reasons for not going. Like it or not that is attacking the poster.
