Ex Rovers player, so predictable. We really are the most myopic fans in the football league. Mansell would take us to the National League no problem, some fans would be happy with that.

Schumacher would be ideal, but can’t see us shifting Taylor. We’re still paying Barton wouldn’t want to be paying 3 managers at once.

Topper 2 points from our next two home games are no good.We need 6 points after the recent disasters. Unfortunately I cant see any way we can replace him now with a 3 year contract. The big problem is I wouldnt trust our owners with finding a new Manager so i reckon we have to see this one through- painful as it is to watch at the moment. I would certainly like to see signs that he knows what he is doing which I dont at the moment. We have players who scored last season with other clubs but I fear they are set up in a defensive set up which they arent capable of playing. When you sign players who were outstanding for their clubs last season it is strange that Taylor does not appear able to get a tune out of them. Conner Taylor who most wanted to sign looks slow, clumberson and non league standard- what has MT done to him? He seems to have no idea of how to set up a team to pressurise opponents as a team .Hutchison looked a great prospect for Walsall but at present looks like another Javani Brown. Personally I think MT is another Martin Dobson and destroys team spirit by not allowing players long enough to settle in.He should now have in mind what is his best team and stick with it for a few games without using 5 substitutes. With constant changing we will never see a settled side gelling. If he had the belief to sign Hutchison to be the player to link play then he should show a bit of faith and give it a few games to try to gel. That's a 360 degree turn from you, when others were questioning MT's managerial ability in the summer you told us to forget last season and get behind Taylor! I'd love to know how the owners decided that Mangan and Whelan weren't up to the job but MT, who had just failed miserably at Rotherham, was up to it, or was he just prepared to be more of a "yes" man than the other two? The fact that Wael tweeted "great appointment" earlier following Whelan being announced as Wigan's first team coach really takes the p, although perhaps that was his intention.

It's all a big mess really isn't it. We have some tough games coming up so could easily find ourselves in the bottom four within a couple of weeks.
Do you fire the manager in a few weeks if we end up in the bottom four? Do the club really want to be paying the wages of one new manager plus two former managers at the same time?
My personal preference is wait until the end of the year and see where we are. If we are in trouble then the club have to make a decision before the transfer window opens.
We really don't want to be going through this whole process of rebuilding every summer.

We simply have to trust the process.
The majority of the squad are on lengthy contracts, so we have to give it time.
Still some strange results in this division as teams work out their best starting 11
For me the real blow was losing Senior, we now have no available right sided defender ( will we ever see Hunt again?) and it’s showing. I’d be seriously scouring the market for out of contract full backs either side!!
Just hoping the home games don’t become toxic as these are young players who need our support.

Anyone got any replacements in mind?If he were to go he will inherit a young squad many of whom are on 2-3 year contracts. I’m in the give him time to turn this around camp for now, but he has to start picking up points soon or we will be looking at that bottom 4 He seems very stubborn about playing a back 3 with wing backs, but in my mind we don’t look good with this system. Problem is, we haven’t recruited any bloody full backs!! UTG Sir Rickie Lambert expressed an interest in managing Rovers, currently a youth coach at Wigan.

I know this will cost us greatly to let him go but the gate attendances will drop significantly if this continues. We go as we have season tickets but at this rate after working a long day it is unlikely we will attend evening games unless this improves. I know we will still be counted in the numbers as they have our cash but supporters who pay per game will not bother. I'm all for supporting the team win or lose but there needs to be some enjoyment for the fans and effort shown during the game rather than in the last 10 minutes when its too late.

At some point the owners will have to act if MT shows no signs of getting results, if we carry on as we there's not going to be a light bulb moment, where MT suddenly realises where it's been going wrong. The next two home games are a good opportunity to see if he can turn things around. If he can't you can't see us getting many points from Burton(A), Blackpool(H), Huddersfield(A)

Moore coming back and Senior returning will give us added steel at the back. He really needs to identify a settled midfield, this is where we look disjointed at the moment. It would be absolute madness to now dismiss MT and be paying 3 managers!! Unless you’ve got some spare cash Topper?? UTG

We've no real idea if JB is still on the payroll, or how much we're paying him if he is, if he is still employed and just on garden leave getting full pay, then surely his tweets/lost court case would be enough to dismiss him without compensation? Regardless how much will relegation cost us, £m's and probably delay any hope of getting in the Championship for 3-5 years? Plus attendances this season will take a hit by 1K/2K so that's another 20K a match/£100K's over the rest of the season.

16 new players and 3 or 4 new backroom staff in the last few months. Everyone at the club from top down knows it will take a few months before the team hits the high standards we're setting ourselves. Patience guys.

Anyway, many clubs have churned the squad and made changes, why is it only an excuse for us?!

It would be absolute madness to now dismiss MT and be paying 3 managers!! Unless you’ve got some spare cash Topper?? UTG Absolutely agree with this. Also agree with the significance of the Senior injury and Moore's absence. We do not see training , but I do not think many would have preferred Forbes ahead of Connor Taylor, but as good as we know he can be, he has certainly struggled - his lack of pace, especially on the turn was always there, but he was generally solid facing the ball and excellent in the air. We cannot fault the manager for individual errors. Connor Taylor looked shaky against Wigan and cost us a goal. We know he was behind the squad in terms of pre-season training due to his injury, but we know his quality and deserves another opportunity. Hopefully that will come through on Saturday - it will be a battle against Wycombe. And I also absolutely agree that the midfield is the problem, and once we have that settled we will be a transformed team. I honestly believe we will be more of an attacking threat than last season, and I have been impressed with our attacking options. Promise looks a handful, and the sort of striker we have not had for many seasons. Soutirou has looked good in spells, and Hutchinson has shown a few good moments, but not enough and has far from cemented a place in the side. It is a difficult balance between allowing time to gel and improve or try something else - not helped by inconsistent performances and / or injury. And together with the O' Donkor and Shaq signings, I think we now have good options. Having both of them is a bonus (we would probably not have got both if one of them was secured earlier in the window). But great to have Shaq, who is still very young, on a permanent deal. And Chris Martin still to return, as always great to have coming off the bench. A lot of comments about IF this continues and IF we are bottom four and IF we never win again etc etc., which is stating the obvious. Of course there may be time where Taylor would have to go, but that time is not now. The process is building a squad and allowing it to develop, giving it time to become a squad that will challenge at the top end of the table. We have been here before, and so it never ceases to amaze me, how many accept this need for a long term project, yet are so willing to abandon it if we don't have instant success. UTG!

Interesting op. Short but sweet.
I can empathise but respectfully disagree.
In a game of Gas Buckeroo, we all get triggered at different points in the games and season.
Here's where I stand: For the record, I've never been Taylor in. Nor Taylor out.
After 12 matches, there should be more of feeling of progression, ideally, and we'll see but as it stands I think it's too early to call for definite. Even though am leaning to Mattxit...

How can anyone refer to the significance of the Senior Injury when he had played 30 mins from two sub appearances in three games?
He can’t be missed when he wasn’t being selected.
