How can you blame the midfield when our midfield aren't allowed to touch the ball! Taylors tactics is go long and forget the midfield. Today showed how much Taylor has lost the plot when you look at our bench....we had promise omochere who cost us £500k Forde 400k Conteh 300k and Hutchinson 200k the guy has lost the dressing room already and players like Garrett/lins/Hutchinson must be thinking what am I here for as they are all midfielders who want to play to feet so no it's not the midfield that is the problem it's the managers tactics Most posters accept we did OK in the first half, which suggests all those players were sat on the bench for a reason? When most of them did come on we got progressively worse. so you think over a million pounds worth of money sat on the bench is a good investment? It went tits up when the headless chicken MC came on

[quote author=" Topper Gas" The owners now have a big decision to make this weekend, stick with MT and see another 3 pts thrown away on Tuesday or sack him and hope his replacement can do better. One slight problem with this - how do they get It replacement in by Tuesday? And how could he do much in a day or so? More logical that MT is sacked tomorrow week. Although there is a scurrilous rumour that Alex Neil was in attendance today.....[/quote] I think the owners already have one eye on the next manager

First half we were solid without creating anything bar the goal but at ht I thought we were relatively comfortable. No idea what was said at ht but we came out 2nd half and immediately sat deeper. That has to be something they were instructed to do, if it was 10 mins from time & we're hanging on then I could understand it but it's 5 mins in. Yes we had a couple of chances but in all honesty you could see the equaliser coming a mile off and as soon as they get a corner late on you just knew. The reaction at the end was telling, I'd be shocked if they acted before Tues but lose against Charlton & things could turn ugly I think if we lose Tuesday there will be a Caretaker Manager in place for next Saturday. I don’t know who on the current staff that would be but think Captain Gas could do a better job than MT. As you rightly say "who on the current staff". They are probably as inept as their boss.

Who knows but doing nothing could well be just throwing 3 or even 1 pt away. Given Alex Neil has this week been linked with the Hearts and Cardiff jobs then it'll be a shock if he now replaces MT.

Taylor sounded like a broken man in his interview, almost like he's given up. Surely he can see that we are miles off? I don't buy into his waffle, he's just protecting the players. Begs the question what exactly is going on behind the scenes. He must know we lack leadership and experience, we've replaced leaders with young, weak players. This will only go one way! You'd think he would resign, but I suppose he's after the compensation. I'd have thought by now that clubs or their legal eagles would have dreamed up some get out clause to cover such situations.

Agreed. I`d love to see a transcript of the interview, when the board appointed Taylor. What in the name of God must he have said to them, to convince them that he was the right man to take us forward? Perhaps we could sue him for breach of promise.

Still too early to make a change guys. We were in the same boat at this stage of the season exactly ten years ago.

Looking back at the extended highlights, Thomas had a very good chance to make it 2-0 and Lindsay also had a reasonable chance to make it 2-1.
The goals we conceded were shockers, LT left the goal scorer far too much space then slipped trying to get back. Then both JG and Mola were both weak against their opposing players for the winner, I guess this is what we get from playing youngsters as we had enough men in the box to defend the corner not just players man enough to do it!

Mola missed a good chance at 1 0 as well. They probably didn't show it in the highlights, as he didn't make any contact with the ball. Their equalizer was their 2nd shot on target. Their first wasn't much before and was a shot from outside the box. Weird thing is, we were probably looking better defensively after Hunt came on at right back and then they scored down that side as Thomas let his man go and then over compensated and sold himself. It was a good finish from their player though. It felt like they were going to score when they got the corner at the end and it had to be him to score it!

It baffles me a bit as to how Taylor also doesn’t mention anything about the fans. At least DC and even Barton would always give us a mention. Don’t think Taylor could give a toss really. He should go and manage Cheltenham town FC as that’s his standard now.

Under GC we played poor football, but got results. Under Ben Garner we played good football but couldn’t get results.
Under Taylor we play extremely poor football and lose most weeks.

Are you being serious? GC had a completely different approach to the present board with the likes of Craig, Clarke(?), Ogogog and JCH, now we've gone for a far younger and less experienced squad, somebody clearly got it wrong this summer when they failed to sign a dominant CH, an experienced box to box CM and we also lost Martin.
