What a farce, just checked & only 3 out of 12 league 1 fixtures remain on that day, with so many lower league clubs having Premiership loan youngsters, it’s nearly always likely matches are going to be called off, so all clubs might as well have a international day call off along with the Premiership & Championship teams.
These late call offs must be costing clubs a fortune as midweek fixtures don’t usually attract the same attendances as Saturday’s & are frustrating foe everyone, especially for away fans.

There is a positive side to the game being called off
Injured players will be returning when they are most needed when the games resume and those struggling with fitness less likely to get injured

I doubt FIFA/UEFA rules would allow it, better still stop organising league games for the International breaks and use those dates for the league sides to play their EFL Trophy ties. |

Good result for me as I’m away that weekend 😃👍 Frees me up for similar so I’m not too disappointed. But they really need to do away with loan players counting towards this. Rearranged fixtures are a pain in the ass. All for a sh** friendly or youth tournament qualifier. It’s a joke. |
