When things are bad you tend to find that players find it hard to deal with the little niggles that playing entails. The worse the atmosphere at training the more injuries players will complain about. A couple of weeks under the medical team provides them with some respite care away from the worries and pressures of playing.

Promise and o’donker apparently.
Which leaves us with Shaq attack and Ruel.
When one door closes and all that.

Blessing in disguise this, it really is with the issues Taylor is facing.
Shaq Forde signed by Abdul, Friend knew nothing about it, Matt Taylor’s reaction was, how in the hell can I play him?! Another unhappy player I am told.

Which is why we need at least 4 attackers. I think we have 5 now, Martin, Forde, Promise, Sotiriou and O’Donker. Riches compared to previous years imo.
UTG!

No path for any of the kids to be blooded in the Paint Pot though now, no club of our size needs a £500k, £350k and £250k strikers added with Martin and O’Donker on loan. We’d have been better to spend a bigger sum on a top striker. I’d add as well, Oxford, Blackburn and West Ham won’t be happy with players going out on loan and not getting game time. Matt Taylor is behind none of these signings, I’m telling you, we’ve got a bloke here signing whoever he wants

Yep and MT is desperate for a no2 keeper but we won’t sanction, loads still on the free market as well. He really wanted the experienced keeper Cameron Dawson who kept 19 clean sheets in 50 games in the season Exeter got promoted, the deal was done but Abdul vetoed it. If our No1 gets injured, they might as well make the 50/50 winner GK after I saw Audley Harrison punching crosses the other night, those punches were shocking

We’d get an emergency loan in. Hall’s appearances don’t count towards his 5 pro appearances to qualify him as a pro in respect of squad.

That is where we are now. If Griffiths gets injured, we get an emergency loan.

Get in a championship keeper on loan and pay hall probably £500 a week to be a practice match keeper. Personally, I think that's a good way of getting the most out of the budget.

I guess there are two issues with that, firstly you don't have a No 2 pushing the No1 to keep on performing, and you also don't have a reserve goalie for cup games. Although surely MT has sat down and agreed our approach with the owners/GF and accepted whatever was agreed, so why keep whining about Hall?

You also run the risk of an injury Saturday and putting an outfield player in goal and then bringing in an emergency loan for a Tuesday night game who doesn’t even know our players names in front of him It’s comedy, my simple reply to Gasify is this………why are the other 91 clubs going this route and utilising budget?! Only Rovers could try and reinvent the wheel!

It's not just injuries, it can be mentality with keepers. For me Griffiths has lost some confidence, he isn't coming for crosses like he did and very hesitant coming out to claim the ball, this is why we need experience. Griffiths is a great shot stopper though.

Griffiths is a great shot stopper though. There's no guarantee WBA would allow us to drop JG anyway unless he kept on repeating his Wigan performance? Although I would have though having somebody like Belshaw training daily with JG & Hall must help them develop as goalies, also a shoulder to cry on after they've made a howler or two.

Should've kept Belshaw, made a few mistakes but led the defence and was vocal. No worse than what we have either and would've helped Jed settle to become our No 1. Instead.......
