Good to see the prices for match tickets for youngsters being reduced for a forthcoming game (Crawley?) and that the SC are offering free travel for kids to Reading.
Naturally T&Cs apply but good gestures all the same. Will be helpful for families in the run up to Christmas.
Let's hope the FC go to schools and clubs to really promote the kid a quid offer rather than just sneak one mention on Twitter a month before.
They really do need to stop preaching to the converted and try and introduce new young fans.

Is it really good to see though, as that basically means the football is so poor that fans won't pay full prices to watch it, so the club has to try and bride them to watch games. Although they'll still be lucky to break 7,000 v Crawley unless we pull off a shock result on Saturday.

With so many Home matches in the near future lower prices are a bonus.

Unfortunately the damage has already been done for this season by foolishly raising child's season ticket prices by 300% in the thatchers end. I've no idea why they thought we'd have 12k at home matches this season so couldnt keep kids prices low. Awful management but good to see they are trying to make amends now.

Good idea but needs us as fans to make sure our work colleagues, mates with kids etc are aware.
I know I keep harping on about when I was on the SC committee blah, blah, but back then players did go into schools with old copies of match day programmes to help to try and help boys reading and maths and also promote kids attendances at matches.
No idea if the club do anything like that now, but there are so many squad players not involved on a match day, you would think they could do something to add value for money for the club.

Ticket prices reduced to attract more kids', with lips pursed and brow furrowed.
