Winning tonight at Shrewsbury.Keeps the Shrews firmly in the bottom 4 but puts Exeter up to fourth if it stays the same.Rossiter and Marquis both playing for the home side.

Strange night to play a weekend fixture, typically Shrewsbury will now have a nice long rest before they play us next Tuesday, if they do loose tonight you can't see they can afford to loose again next week.
Woods playing for Exeter with Muzzy on their bench.

It is no shock that Shrewsbury are down the bottom. Sone really woeful recruitment in the summer.

I watched the second half. The way Exeter played is the way that I imagined MT would set us up to play. 'On the front foot'. They were happy for Shrewsbury to have posession but then when the ball was won, they transitioned very quickly.

Wasn’t long ago they were losing 7-0, the board put out a statement saying thugs need to improve or the managers gone, and the fans were calling for his head.
Funny what giving a manager time with a squad can do.

Funny what giving a manager time with a squad can do. The only way to see if a manager will be a success is to give him at least 18 months and 4 windows. Caldwell was in a similar position to MT last year. Took over in October, reasonable mid table finish with MTs squad which then got broken apart that summer. Signed a lot of players and then had a disappointing end but they have stuck with him and made an excellent start this year.
