Any manager wanting to win a game would be going mad at time wasting giving his chance to score a goal, he was told this. Rotherham away at the start of the season, they had 20 shots at goal against our 5, they had 5 corners against our 0 zero. One minute we have played the top 6, then someone says weāve played big clubs like Rotherham and Posh. For every game there is an excuse, it was weāve won 3 in 4 Tuesday night, now Reading are big club but in turmoil and transfer embargos! We beat Burton away who are on 4 points, it was so bad handbrake tactics first half that a fan went to the dugout to tell him and he changed it at half time. He was forced to bring on Forde and Ward in the 50th minute to get a goal. Iām convinced weād have still lost or drawn today 0-0 without Shaq going off, no way would he have allowed us to go gung ho at the end. It was we won 3 in 4 on Tuesday, now it's we have won 3 in 5. That's a shocking return, especially when our main goal scorer is injured. When promise went off, that's 3 strikers injured. 3 home games coming up. A win in the cup and 4 points in the league and we will be doing okay. Martin will hopefully get minutes on Tuesday and Saturday. I have to admire your eternal optimism all the time.

Readings goalie made some decent saves at the end. Wonder what would have happened with 11 on the pitch. Complete stupidity from forde. Cost us the game Reading Goal Keeper was awarded MoM. Says it all really.

This is the first time I have seen a Rovers keeper do this. We have been victims of this horrendous cheating on so many occasions I have lost count. I hate it, but he cheated far less than the useless Referee did. Agreed Tbone, but that must be instructions, drives me insane with rage. Yeah but itās a tactic that everyone uses when the time is right. If we didnāt do it out of morals then weād be putting ourselves at a disadvantage compared to every other side. Donāt blame our club blame the Numptys that run the game.

Says it all really. He was outstanding , how we didnāt get a point or 3 was purely down to a combination of a moment of stupidity from Ford and a very good performance from their keeper. Not Taylorās fault , not too defensive tactics etc as some are saying. One of our best performances of the season and now hopefully weāll continue with this formation moving onwards.

I get the handbrake analogy by Topper which he does go on about . IMO we have started most away games looking for a point and putting numbers behind the ball ie back 5 behind Defensive midfielders and what has been happening all to often is go behind and then change formation which seems to suit us better. Let's hope yesterdays game will switch a light on for Taylor. Forde was a bit silly but from my view he was hard done by, kicking the ball away in frustration is a no no. Actually though he should have had the free but that idiot Lino had other ideas. You see that same situation played out a lot with no follow up by Ref. Reading players wanted him sent off by there actions after incident. You just knew that the Ref would have his day at some stage. Reading got away with plenty of harsh tackles which Ref waved play on . Love having Hunt in the side as he adds bite to the side and seems to be a good motivator. A couple of hard home games coming up so let's hope we can get on the front foot and move up the table Stoney UTG

Says it all really. Was that from the home team sponsors - I guess they are obliged to pick a home player? If there was an away sponsor obliged to pick an away player for mom who would ours have been? Griffiths or maybe one of the defenders?

I wasn't that impressed by Reading, they were no better than us imo. Shame Shaq picked up a second yellow, I have been impressed with him.

Just got back..
From watching on the box.... where all you could hear was Gas!
This match a bit upside down? We finished stronger than started!? We were actually going for it.... can't fault the work ethic, commitment and fitness.
I think most Gas wanna see us giving it a good go - which we did - so in that vain, much applause, but can't help think it was a game of two keepers.
Both played well.
Until a canny move undone us and a smart finish from them, but I have to say CT slipped and didn't get a cut out challenge in at all.
Forde could be argued contributed to our downfall, but rarely have I seen 10 men Gas go for it in last 10 mins and Bilongo was brilliant on the left....even Hutch almost scored and their Keeps pulls a worldie to tip over when it was heading in top corner..
Ok, we lost. But the manner of the defeat is very encouraging. Difficult to gauge from sky coverage. We move on knowing we're far from worst 4 in division but no where near where we should be.

But apart from one or two games, our home form has been good. So having 3 home games in a row, has to be a good thing? Having Martin back will be good and the was reported he might play minutes on Tuesday. I didn't think any of us can see where the goals are coming from without Martin. Performances have to improve, but we would have went down without Martin last season. So considering how much we rely on his goals, being 6 points ahead of the relegation zone without him is better than our form at the end of last season.

Up until yesterday I'd have agreed completely with your take on our away performances but I don't think you can bracket that game in same way. Huddersfield especially we were set up solely to defend and rarely got into their half let alone created anything. Completely different yesterday, we got into countless good positions throughout the first half, MT can be blamed for a lot of things but Sotiriou missing a 1v1 and others choosing the wrong option or playing a poor pass when we're in a really good position can't be on him. At the point Forde got his red we were well on top, we hadn't sat in and looked to break we'd come out & looked the more likely to score. Yes we changed after, went to a 3, sat in & slowed the game but pretty much every side does it in that situation. I can't be critical after watching that, they gave everything & I don't honestly think we were set up in the same way as previous away games, hopefully the one thing MT has learnt over the last couple of games is that we are so much more suited to a back 4

Quick, some nice moves, but not really that effective. Listening to BBC Radio Berkshire afterwards, I got the impression that goalscoring is a problem for them. The way they capitulated in the last 15 minutes or so was telling - a man up but no attempt to use it.

Youād think weād won the game, we lost, before Reading scored Griffins was rolling around the floor and wasting time, that can only be on instructions. Taylor would of been happy with a nil nil, This is the first time I have seen a Rovers keeper do this. We have been victims of this horrendous cheating on so many occasions I have lost count. I hate it, but he cheated far less than the useless Referee did. If thatās the first time you have not been to many matches, and I know thatās not true.

That was between the red card and reading scoring. You wouldnāt have been happy for a 0-0 down to ten men away from home ? No tbh three points are whatās needed. Iāll be honest I canāt stand keepers doing that, itās time they were booked for their time wasting and sent off, after the second time of doing it. Game after game the drink break happens from a goalkeeper being āinjuredā Letās also not forget Taylor got booked today, not setting the best example to his players like the last fool. He gets complained at for showing no passion and when he does he gets complained at. This place has amazing double standards at times.

All the talk about L1 being a tough league this season seems nonsense, all the teams seem similar outside the bottom 4 or 5, I can't imagine Mansfield are a decent footballing side but they managed to hold Birmingham City yesterday. If we'd kept 11 men on the pitch yesterday we could have well beaten a top 6 side. Let's just hope MT now realises the best form of defence with his squad is to attack.

First away game of the season. Really enjoyed it which is surprising for a 1-0 loss with a red. Hope we can get some strikers back soon but lots of promise there. Players showing passion and commitment always gets the backing of the gas fans. Great to see at the end. (In case it didnāt come across on tv). Taylor (one slip aside) back to his best. Mola is so consistently good and Hutch showing signs of what he can do. Need his set pieces! Most interesting thing for me was see Conteh in the last 20 showing another side to his game with forward runs. Much more than just a break up play man it would seem. Promising.
