6 Away and only 2 at Home.
After this current spell of Home games a "challenging" run of Away fixtures follows.
The Away form and results will need to improve if stability is to be the core operating principle at the club.
The key ingredient could be the fitness and availability of the three players capable of leading the line.
The fixtures are:
November 2024
Saturday 23rd * Mansfield Town (A)
Saturday 30th * Barnsley (A) FA Cup
December 2024
Tuesday 3rd * Leyton Orient (A)
Saturday 7th * Bolton Wanderers (H)
Saturday 14th * Birmingham City (A)
Saturday 21st * Wrexham (H)
Tuesday 26th * Exeter City (A)
Sunday 29th * Stevenage (A)

If Taylor is still in charge at the end of this run, we would have turned a corner.

I am confused and it’s always why I question the won 3 in our last 5 spin stuff.
Why isn’t this 6-4 including the two home games with Lincoln Saturday who are a very good side?
I will also add some more spin to this, we win the next 2 home games before the nature of this post, all of a sudden the 6-2 isn’t so scary because we have an extra 6 points in the bag?
To me for November and December we have 6 away and 4 at home?!

Or you even in the bread and butter of the league, 5 away and 4 at home?!

I assume because the OP just copied my list of fixtures from the Barnsley thread, it made sense on that thread, but no sense on it's own when, as you've stated we've still got the two home games to play before worrying about the away fixture.

It does highlight how important our next 2 games are.
Lincoln will be very tough, and I'm sure Crawley won't be a push over either. However, with 6 of the following 8 games away from home, and the 2 games at the Mem against promotion contenders, we have to pick up some points in these next 2 games.
As Roady says, if we pick up 6 points from these next 2 games, that run of fixtures doesn't look as scary. We'd be going into them in decent form and hopeful of picking up a few points.
However, if we only pick up 0, 1, or 2 points from our next 2 games, then that run of fixtures looks daunting, and it would be hard to see us picking up many more points in 2024.

You can now add another home game between Mansfield and Barnsley. Blackpool re-arranged

Good to see the Blackpool rearranged match placed during this tough schedule.
There is real jeopardy for any club when it has a long sequence of Away fixtures.
We now play Blackpool at The Memorial Stadium on Tuesday 26th November 2024.

It's surprising how many of those games, along with the start of January, will be live on Sky:

Tuesdays 26th Blackpool (H)
Tuesday 3rd Leyton Orient (A)
Saturday 21st Wrexham (H)
Tuesday 26th Exeter City (A)
Sunday 29th Stevenage (A)
Wednesday 1st Orient (H)
Saturday 4th Cambridge (A)

December is certainly going to test us, all of us, team and supporters. Still feel we're not "clicking" yet, question is, shouldn't we by now? If not how long? My views on the manager haven't changed, but there are enough posts on that issue, nobody wants to hear me spouting on about that

4 of our next 6 league games are at home. Just depends on which way you look at it.
December looks like a tough month though, we’ll have to step up.

The tough run we have coming up from the end of November through to the new year, does mean that we need to get at least another 4 points from our next two games and a win at Orient, otherwise we could be going into the new year struggling in the bottom 6, that will lead to more calls for Taylor out. We really need to get a few decent results to shut the moaners up and give the team some confidence.
