Right lads , I’ve ordered 300 pitch forks . Where & when are we meeting 79 ? I think you've ordered 299 too many. Bloody hell 🙄

I'm not sure we're easily pleased, most of us are glad to turn up, meet Friends, Family, have a few beers, talk about the line up, comment on a few online rumours, discuss the first half over a smoke at half time, that's about it. What else can we do? This is the difference between our fans and those of better engaged clubs or passionate fan bases. Ours just turn up and shrug shoulders regardless. This is reflected in our water poor atmosphere and general apathy. I'll assume you've been to other grounds? If there was a scale of engagement and affection between supporters and team. I'd put Newcastle and Leeds as strong examples whilst we would be languishing at the other end of that chart. Does it matter? 😆 it won't because we are unbothered and disengaged! It's why some fans kick off and protest at things whilst ours just argue amongst ourselves on here. Kicking off and protesting achieved what?

The Fans responsibilty ends when they pay at the turnstile, renew their Season Tickets and support the Team for 90 minutes. Fans responsibly is so much more than just that. Owners are just there as a stop gap for so many years before moving on The fans are the ones responsible for keeping the club going surely?? Does it not involve spending money in the ground, buying merch, turning up to club events like the fun day and spending. It’s not as simple as turn up pay for ticket, buy season ticket and watch match. Players are attracted by good fan base etc No, money men who write off £3mil yearly debt keep the club going.

Whatever you think of Matt, he s been incredibly classy if any of these allegations are correct, let's get behind the lads Saturday create a decent atmosphere and get 3 points.
After Saturday a few tough games coming up, UTG.

Then again MT created the situation by being such a poor manager, it's strange that the players have only started playing as they fear he might be replaced, you do have to wonder why they weren't bothering to play for the last 12 months or so. You also have to wonder what would have happened if the owners hadn't done anything, MT would have probably been dismissed anyway .

According to G1981 on the other forum if the Dutch trio are successful in their takeover bid Wael gets paid up for his shareholding in full, if the ALS stay in control he then only gets paid off in installments.
So who's going to gain the most if the Dutch trio are successful Rovers or Wael??

I agree that we’re not entitled to know everything but good management is about spreading positivity by giving out little bits to foster a bit of hope, expectation and excitement. We know things aren’t always going to go to plan but by being honest with the fans and keeping them regularly updated, could well benefit both sides…. The key part of that being ‘Good management’! 100%~ like last week at the agm meeting we asked about the screen as no news but was accepted. They replied that they have bought it but it’s too heavy for where they are putting it so more work needs to be done to the stand. Could easily communicate that to fans as it just looks like nothing is happening, flip side I suppose is they also now don’t look organised but not checking beforehand. I suppose it’s a lose lose I'm no apologist for the owners but without a real knowledge of our history they may not actually think we're really that bothered about stuff like that.

A week earlier on HaG Richie Bates claimed they were looking where to install it and failed to mention the real issues? Although you'd have thought whoever sold us the TV would tell to check the stand could take it, unless we bought it from Lansdown's company again?

I'm not claiming any achievement either, just noting the difference in fan engagement/action at our club compared to others. I've seen a few things attempted at Rovers over the years, but our fans are not interested and we get what we deserve imo. Still if the things you list are what people are content with, then there's no need to get stressed or uptight about how tinpot and progressively amateur we are I guess.

So who's going to gain the most if the Dutch trio are successful Rovers or Wael?? I don't think that matters. The real crux of that is, if there is such disharmony and disunity that Wael wants out, why can't the AS just pay him to leave this month or at the latest by end of this season? Personally I don't think they have the means to make the operating expenditure, invest in the club, and pay off Wael. I would love to be proven wrong and I hope I am, but why are we selling off training ground land to raise capital for starters? And if you are struggling, why wouldn't you take a cash injection investment?

Then again if Wael sold his shareholding on the basis that he would be paid in instalments, why should he now expect to be paid off in full, if I bought a car from you on HP over 4 years, I wouldn't expect you, or your finance co, to contact me after two years and demand that payment in full or you'd get your mates to make things uncomfortable for me. Wasn't getting pp for housing at The Quarters originally Wael's idea, if so, then what did you expect him to do if he got planning? Perhaps you're wrong and they aren't struggling hence why they don't want a cash injection, or they are just playing clever to try and get a better offer, you don't make £m's from real estate without being a good negotiator

It was Wael who originally sounded out South Glos about housing at the training ground.

Port Vale's Chairperson,Carol Shanahan regularly on Radio Stoke interacting with fans and telling the world of her hopes and also the actual things which are happening.Their stadium pretty good compared to ours but still plans to modernise it. The district they are in is Burslem which makes Knowle West looks posh but their ground does them much credit although they have an infuriating habit of roping half the away end seats when we go there. I think their stadium seems depressing by design and lacking in atmosphere.
