All very well, but no real idea if Rovers is top of their list or available to buy. Reckon it will be a smaller league 2 team having read the ambitions

That’s a very loaded comment. Is you contact within the club or someone who does like the owners? Trouble is until the owners talk to us, these aspersions which may be true , will continue to run rife.

That contact isn't within the club as such, but does speak with people in the game and those in the infamous BRFC 'corridors of power'. He's not the type to bitch or make things up, but it's probably also fair to say he's not exactly enamoured with the owners son either. I trust him when he says the interest from the Dutch consortium is genuine.

Jansen, who represents Dirk Kuyt and Dennis Bergkamp, said: “We are in the process of buying a club in England. I’m not allowed to say which club yet.” “I can say which group we will do it with.” “Ronald Koeman, Dennis Bergkamp, Henrik Larsson and Dirk Kuyt.” ‘We are now looking at League Two or League One.” “We do this with some people around us and we also have the financiers. It doesn’t have to be in London.” “The plan is to manage the football club in the broadest sense of the word.” “So, the way we think it should be. Training, hospitality, merchandising, marketing, everything.” “We have a group, and maybe one or two more will join.” “The names I mention will also do a certain job within the club.” “Henrik Larsson would like to become a head coach. Bergkamp will set up the academy. And Koeman also comes over to do his things.” www.daveockop.com/latest-news/dirk-kuyt-to-join-up-with-dennis-bergkamp-and-ronald-koeman-in-bid-to-buy-english-club/

Tbh I’m uncomfortable with the sounds of that.
Sounds like they’ll want to rebrand the club and put themselves in charge of management of the playing side.
Would they be any different to the Al Saeeds?
Would they end up changing our kit and identity. Ditching the quarters anyone?
I’m not sure they’d be the messiahs we think they’d be.

So one of the new owners will also mange the team as well?! Although to be fair, according to some, one of the current owners also tries to manage the team!

To me, this has a ring of internet fake news.
I haven't been through the whole thread to check if someone has already mentioned this, but it was reported that the Bergcamp, Larssen, Kuyt and Koeman (+ Cocu) team tried to buy Wycombe in 2019, but the deal fell through. Reports of their interest in acquiring an EFL club continued into 2020. The story seemed to have been dormant but an identikit story re-emerged last February with fans of a few clubs (including our red neighbours) getting interested. Whether this is more or less likely at Rovers than anywhere else, who can say?
I would note that all of the named individuals are Wasserman clients. Whether recent alleged dealings have helped or hindered, again, who can say?

I wonder if there's any other club forum currently talking about these guys in terms of taking them over.

According to the thread titled "other forum" on the other forum (!) the rumour originated from Wael, apparently he's pushing for the deal to go through as he'll get paid off in full, rather than an installment basis for his remaining shareholding.
If it's all made up nonsense then somebody has gone to a lot of trouble to make up such a story following Wael's (surprising?) appearance at the Civil Service club.

The current owners want to sell parts of the Training ground. The group apparently wants invest in Training ground and an academy. It's chalk and cheese stuff. How do you jump to the new group might change the kit? If you are using, it's better the devil you know, well the devil we currently have running the club is making bad decision after another with very little sign of investment. Owners have lost faith of alot of supporters quite impressively. If the offers good then please take it. We can't be the play thing of someone's son that knows little of running a football club.

Sounds like they want to play Championship Manager with a real football club but Larsson has hardly set the football world alight as a manager, and what happens if the players don't take to his management style, as he's hardly going to get the sack. Plus above all we need somebody who'll invest in the ground, not play Football Manager with the playing side of the club.

We were looking into selling part of the training ground, before the new owners came in. People are using it as a negative now, as they are not getting their own way. You said above, what's wrong with that? An owner as manager🤣. What if we are doing poorly under him? Does Larson know anything about league 1 football? This consortium have been trying to buy a club for years, why didn't Wael choose them instead? I could be miles off, but I think Wael choose these owners as he thought he would still be involved heavily. He thought he could bring in JCH, but the owners son pulled out of the deal. He wants to bring in players, that we could potentially make a profit on instead. We've heard one side of the story, personally I would like to hear the other side, but they don't give much away.
