Can I ask what she has done as I honestly don't know? I'm aware that she mentioned us and Sainsburys in the commons a while ago but don't know anything else. Well you can find out quite easily yourself, I would suggest putting her name followed by Bristol Rovers in your web browser. Thanks for your help! So she asked a question in the commons and asked fans to sign a petition.

"The many need to get out and vote for labour (the only real alternative ) in May otherwise the Tories will continue their attack on working people. Heath, social care, education and the economy driven by zero hour contracts and low pay rises etc needs to change urgently. The tories are messing it up again. Labour will either start to put it right in May or if the tories win labour will have a huge job to do in five years time." That....right there....is friggin hilarious. Whenever the tories are in the health service standards get worse (waiting times increasing), class sizes increase, education is sub standard, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, We started getting it right from 1997 after years of Tory cuts and failures. If the tories win in May then the standard of services the majority receive will deteriate, the economy will be favouring the wealthy and the rest will watch as the very wealthy (those above NH) escape.

They make a perfect match? Really? John Darvill is a Guardian reading, left wing bleeding heart liberal. Have you ever listened to the drivel he spouts on his radio show? Most of the time it resembles a party political broadcast on behalf of the Labour Party. I remember one occasion, just before Hungry and Romania were admitted to the EU he had some Europhile apologist on the programme explaining how there would hardly be any of them coming to live here and that idiot was lapping it up. Typical BBC slant and bias, without anyone being invited to put an opposite view. Funnily enough Darvill has never discussed the subject again. he's also very fond of saying how many times he's been married before. I doubt this will last very long and I feel she is making a big mistake. I wonder what state the country would be on now if that idiot Balls had been given another 5 years in charge of the economy? Not only would we have been taken onto he Euro , we would probably be making Greece, Spain France and Portugal look like economic success stories. Old by name, Old by nature ? Bring back the birch !! When's your next pilgrimage to Highgate cemetery? Even the Russians have discredited him now! Socialist governments do such a good job, don't they? Just look at France!

I am off that friggin bus, I never knew it was being driven by a blind man ! Quite funny Newmarket! As it happens, I need glasses (thanks to the NHS), I can't hear (hearing aids from the NHS), I have a problem with a nerve into my brain (resolved by corrective surgery on the NHS). I'm sure I shouldn't be driving the bus but know that you measure the success of a nation not by how wealthy individuals are but how we treat people who need help. We have a major social care problem with people living older. If you have money you can choose without money you can't choose. Labour is the only realistic alternative for the majority. I'm sure you will be OK Newmarket but it's not you that I worry about its the thousands that don't share your present good fortune.

The NHS has been having record amounts of cash from this current government. The problem is not the amount of cash that is thrown at the NHS, but how that money is spent. Throw another 2 billion....4 billion....6 billion.....it makes no odds. The money will be wasted. The NHS, and the way health care is funded, needs serious reform.

Rich, I worry for you, you think Teflon Tony did a good job then ? I worry when people make comments such as Mark about people who live in Newmarket, are we all Toffs ? Posh Boys ? Should I make comments about all who live near Mark ? It's a bit like Pleb Gate in reverse, this seems for some strange reason to be ok to name call people who have got a few bob but heaven forbid you do the opposite eh ? I was going to leave this topic but I thought F**k it why not !

We know we agree that the NHS needs improvement. We might not agree on which party would be best placed to repair but we do know this. Spending on management consultants in the NHS has doubled to £640million a year under the Tories - despite their vow to slash it. Shortly after the last general election, then-new Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said he was “staggered by the scale of the expenditure on management consultants”. The NHS spent £313million on them in 2010. The NHS in my view is not safe under the Tories. Soon we will be saying it's too expensive and we will need a voucher system where people can spend their money themselves with the better off being able to have what they want, when they want in a hospital they want with the consultant they want. The rest of us will need to wait in pain. Fine. What happens when it's your mother and she is in pain, you have no money and are helpless.

I was going to leave this topic but I thought F**k it why not ! Newmarket, I've got absolutely nothing against successful people or you for that matter. We should all aim to be successful and there are many labour people that are successful but want a fairer society. Please don't worry for me. Worry about the people that don't share our good fortune. We might not agree politically and for what it's worth I think labour did a good job last time. We went into the last election with a growing economy. The worldwide recession (did spending money on hospitals in the UK lead to crash of Lehman brothers in USA ) was not labour fault. We bailed out the banks and the rest of us are paying for it.

I'm sorry everyone. I hope Charlotte Leslie is happy in her forthcoming marriage. I shouldn't have ranted. I'll try not to do it again!!!

Rich, does the little phrase ' Dear chief secretary, I'm afraid there is no money. Kind regards and good luck, Liam ' look like you left a growing economy ?

I could never vote Labour while Blair is still at large.
At least he is living proof that Britain carries weight in the world - because had he been leader of a lesser nation he would have been arrested, charged, convicted at the international court and imprisoned.
