Mildenhall 6 Gave us a scary moment when he clashed with their striker but in truth had little to do apart from punch/catch a few crosses
Leadbitter 7 was disappointed when we didn't sign Higgins during pre season and not sure about him at first but he has come on well in recent weeks. Solid today and looked comfortable going forward
McChrystal 7.5 Pairing with Parkes was immense today
Parkes 8 Just had the edge over Macca, kicked and headed everything thrown at him and even had a run or two into the Grimsby half
Brown 7 linked up well with Monkey and solid defensively
Dawson 7 Great 1st half, had the beating of the full back but faded in the second. Looked as if DC was going to withdraw him on 75mins as Gosling was stripped and ready to come on but DC changed his mind
Mansell 7.5 worked really hard protecting the bsck 4 and battled for everything
Lockyer 7.5 Ditto and add to it a great (if fortunate) strike for the goal
Monkhouse 7 battled hard, covered inside when needed and for Browner when he got forward
Taylor 7 Glad the penalty miss didn't affect his game. Was unlucky with one or two other attempts with the keeper making some good stops
Blissett 6.5 was a hand ful for their defense and did well to win the pen. Didn't look like scoring though
DC 9 tactics spot on
Ref 5 i was sat with Grimsby fans and according to them he was the devil incarnate so that influences my mark
Grimsby 5 Not the force I thought they would be. Struggled to get in behind us and constantly gave the ball away particularly in the second half. Shot shy and looked nervous. Just hope they have a better week next Saturday

So combining Sean's scores with Stevek's, I've completed this weeks Player Ratings.
Steve and Sean were pretty consistent but have left a three-way tie for Man of the Match- a season first. The players in question are perennial winners Mark McChrystal (2nd award), Tom Parkes (6th) and Lee Mansell (5th).
In their combined last 11 starts, McChrystal and Parkes have been in the top two rating nine times.
This was rated (7.1) as our best away performance of the season since Eastleigh (7.3).
It was also Darrell Clarke's highest rated (9.0) managerial performance of the season, beating the score of 8.5 at Eastleigh.
This game had the second-narrowest range of scores, with only 1.75 separating the top and bottom scores. Telford at home had a range of 1.6.
Mildenhall 6.0
Leadbitter 7.0 McChrystal 7.8 Parkes 7.8 Brown 7.0
Dawson 7.0 Mansell 7.8 Lockyer 7.5 Monkhouse 7.3
Taylor 7.0 Blissett 6.5
DC 9.0 Ref 5.0 Grimsby 5.3
