Ah yes, I remember you. The woman who defends a woman beater. Hilarious 123, This place is moderated very lightly and with a big dose of common sense but your post was clearly and obviously an attack on the poster and not the post. No attempt at answering the points Tilly made. It would be good to see an apology to Tilly. Would it be an option to apply a blanket ban on any posts re JB that are not football related?

Yep. Take the second goal Taylor Moore does a terrible clearance, Gibbons collects said clearance, crosses to Loft and he heads (unchallenged) by Moore and heads in. No one said anything to him. Heads just drop and carry on. A fair assessment on the goal, the only point I would add is the amount of room Gibbons was afforded down that flank. Bilongo looked as if he were trying to do his defending on one of the pitches at the Civil Service club. Exactly. No one busting a gut to close the ball down.

Moderators take issue with those who oppose supporting violent racist sexist thugs, but not those who jump to their defence. Interesting. No apology to be made from me for calling out those who still hold that shi!t stain in a positive light. I think we all remember what Tilly said as it was outrageously victim blaming. However that was in the past and it bears no impact on her point of view now. Whether it was JB side or DC side previously or BG side (yes, I did say that) all three teams seemed to put in more effort than was on display last night.

People are untitled to an opinion, just because it’s at odds with yrs, dosnt make it any less valid !!!! 💙 When your opinion is to defend a far right violent racist thug, then it certainly makes it less valid. Off you pop Oh dear 🤔🙄💙

I also find it amazing anybody could ever continue to support that utter filth. But let's move on. He's in our past (as much as I wish we could erase him) but it is nonetheless the past. Onwards and.... onwards.

Yep drawing a line under this Barton stuff now. If there are further arguments, we'll start deleting posts.
Loathe the man and am still angry the club ever employed him but it's time to move on.

I find it pretty hard to accept the DC’s line that our players are fragile due to our relegation. When Cambridge who were also relegated a place below us didnt seem to share the same fragility.

Regardless of marmite ex managers we currently have one of our best ever at the helm 👍 DC almost saved an atrocious Cheltenham side from the drop after taking over without a win in the first ten?
He's worked magic before 👍
Time for the board to inject 4 players in that will shape our season 🤞

Moderators take issue with those who oppose supporting violent racist sexist thugs, but not those who jump to their defence. Interesting. No apology to be made from me for calling out those who still hold that shi!t stain in a positive light. 123, For clarity: 1. As a moderator I took issue with your post for the obvious reason that it was a personal attack on the poster and not the post with no attempt to engage in what was posted. Almost everybody keeps to this idea of questioning the points raised in a post and not attacking the poster. If you don’t feel able to keep to this then perhaps find a forum/ medium which reflects how you would like to post. 2. It is clearly ridiculous to imply anyone supports violence, racism or thuggery and for you to suggest that is clearly disrespectful to many people on this forum especially the moderators. And no one took/takes “issue with those opposing……” Your reply was wrong and I suspect many will see it as such. This forum has given a very strong message consistently regarding this. 3. I was perhaps naive to ask you to apologise to the poster. Please, if you feel the need to continue this, take it to PM. I’m sure users on here are tired of threads being spoilt by this.

That's a fair point, I think the thing that will be fragile is their bank balances, as they probably had a clause in their contracts re. a wage cut in the event of relegation. I have absolute faith in DC, but our players haven't been away, fighting on the frontline, they need to get in the real world and get their job done on the pitch.

We need one of those lads they bring on at the Grand National when there's a fall. If the Gas were a racehorse then it would’ve been put out of its misery by now, it’s cruel to watch it struggle in pain for this long. We had 2 carthorses planning last night in the form of Harrison and Kilgor.........

I think DC is trying to do them a favour and/or not be telling it quite straight as he knows he has to rely on some of these players this season

In his after match interview he stated that he could have ripped into most of the team yesterday but didn't.

Well I went last night and definitely wish I hadn't. Put simply it was one of the most inept displays I can remember from a professional football team in a long time. To be honest I was lost for words to describe it so just like the players I won't bother.
The people I went with were a bit shell shocked to see Bristol Rovers play with as little passion as that.
So where do they go from here. Things have got to improve that is for sure or else it is back down to the national league. It was so bad I wouldn't know where to start. So I hope that DC does.

I think DC is trying to do them a favour and/or not be telling it quite straight as he knows he has to rely on some of these players this season I can’t see how making excuses does anybody any favours, The evidence is plain for all to see several players are either not trying or not good enough. If he has to rely on those players it isn’t going to end well. Unless they shape up. I am not saying he should publicly slate them, but they need to know there is no excuse for that sort of performance and we the supporters need to know that the players are getting that message.
