What happened to the rumours of Noel Edmonds coming in I cant comment on the rumour but can confirm that he is a close friend of Geoff Dunford so its not as unlikely as it seems

I like Nick Higgs, he's put plenty into our club, he's almost on the edge of bringing us something that will enhance generations of Rovers future and he is a MASSIVE GASHEAD of that there is no doubt. I would like him to stay, but would like him to swallow his pride (which i know is hard for any man) and get someone in to help him with what he struggles with - the successful managing of our football club. The club needs expert help and direction to take advantage of the UWE Catalyst.

The more you read and hear, isn't the issue more about getting one or 2 board members out rather than getting 1 or 2 in?
I too like Higgs and I don't think he is the biggest problem at the club.

It's interesting. If all this is true, you wonder what the review on themselves has brought to the fore. A lot of finger pointing. Perhaps the board saying to NH, you took your eyes off the ball concentrating on stadium and Nick Higgs saying he needs more help from the others. (Of course that is all just speculation but not inconceivable)
I don't really want to bring up Kevin Spencer but it perhaps illustrates a point. NH and Kevin apparently met and according to Kevin it went well. He said he would go back to the board Re: the ban. Nothing happened. If Nick Higgs is the power man at BRFC, then surely he could put his foot down on the issue, but perhaps others (and one in particular) were not to keen or want to keep their head down.
Makes you wonder if people are prepared to gang up on NH to get what they want

I hope Higgs isn't made a scapegoat in all this. Yes results on the pitch have been pretty dreadful since he has been chairman but he has the best interests of the club at heart and is finally on the brink of delivering us a new stadium.
In all honesty, I hope he stays but with the right man to come onto the board alongside him who can make the footballing decsions.

I have still got a lot of respect for Higgs and like him (despite the obvious mistakes leading to relegation). To be on the cusp of delivering the UWE is a tremendous achievement in itself. My concern is the "back-stabbers" currently in the background and the mischief they may get up to in an attempt to maintain and expand their position in the current "power-vacuum" on the BoD.

Nothing against Nick Higgs from here.
But it does seem that there is something amiss up in that board room, and I hope that it can be sorted in nice, friendly way, with minimum disruption to the rest of the club/team.

The club needs expert help and direction to take advantage of the UWE Catalyst. You are right Jon, The one point I can disagree with is that it is not that hard to swallow your pride, remember the saying that pride comes before the fall ?. When we are younger then pure stubbornness becomes the problem but, as an adult, we should be able to look upon our mistakes, we ALL make them after all, then adjust our thoughts and behaviour. I hear the dumb arsed saying about Leopards and spots and I realise just how much I have changed. EVERYONE has the capability to change and each new day we wake up, we have the fantastic opportunity to try again. I don't know enough about Nick or any of the rest to be able to judge them as singular entities but the persona some paint certainly makes for interesting reading. It is a matter if fact that with Nick as chair we have gone backwards year on year, this suggest his leadership is remiss. One would like to think that he, plus the others, could sit and truly understand what their decisions have vested upon us and then we hope they can make ammends. For some reason I think of the song the man on the hill. I have been told he is a very stubborn man plus both SC directors have said we have been crying out for real leadership yet they seem impotent to advise him. In my mind, there is no doubt that we need an honest man, a man of integrity and the ability to communicate, to come onboard and act as a middleman and facilitator footballing nous and a degree of sniffing out BS would be good too. I've nothing against Nick but being a supporter does not mean any of us could lead us to the promised land. It must be a bloody nightmare of a job when your fanbase is never happy. We had the same people moan when we were in L1 under Trolls. The problem being that both the manager and Lennie said we would have championship football in five years. We DO need to manage expectation but I now think our expectations could not be lowered any further. Anyway, sorry I digressed. My point was just supposed to be that we can ALL change. Personally, I would not be bothered if we kept the same board just as long as they acted upon the carnage caused in a positive manner. You know, an apology would go down well. We are a forgiving bunch in the main. There is NOTHING stopping all of the current board from adjusting their behaviour and from stepping up to the plate right now.

Not according to others who are in the know I have asked two different people who work for BRFC and both have said it is complete nonsense. But if you know something different, then post it up here with their source.
