What's done is done.
For the next 2 months I get the feeling the only / best way we can support OUR team, is to pay our entrance money, buy some stuff, and sing/cheer for them.
And the only / best way we can support the club, is to pay our entrance money and/or buy stuff that earns them money.
Come May the club won't have gate income, although hopefully there will be some reasons to buy STs.

Well it didn't take long for the OP to revert to a negative Rovers blog, for gods sake why don't you just give it a rest, and do genuine Rovers fans a favour.

Didn't seem THAT negative to me - unless you feel that the dirty washing is in public now - there is a huge ongoing thread on this forum about the "unsustainable loan". No problems - I'm going to win Euro Millions tonight - that's Plan C from Nick's list of 3 plans. eriously, what does happen if the court case is lost? I'm still in the 50/50 camp on whether or not we will lose it but if we do - then what? I'm kind of hoping NH already has the ground sold to someone else but has to keep quiet about it till the case is over. Obviously, he could not publicly state this is the case (even if it is) So, yes, I would prefer the EP blogs to be full of how we are top and looking good, but the worries are genuine enough as seen on this very forum. Next week though, I expect Mr Rippington to be detailing how Eastleigh got beaten and wondering how we will play on a ploughed up field in Halifax!

Better than on the ploughed up field in Dartford I hope! Seriously, it's interesting that Barnet and ourselves both have some tricky games coming up - they have to play Halifax twice. If we can just overcome an in-form Eastleigh tomorrow, Forest Green might do us a favour against Barnet and we could be five points clear by Saturday night - how positive is that for you!!

LOL. but you just wrote that on a forum, not the website of a major local paper.

Cardiff are £170 million + in debt and do not receive anything from the Premier league at the end of this season. Big problems ahead there, I wonder what Mr Tan will be doing in a few months time? Puts our plight into perspective.

It's a pity White Dee doesnt write a blog on Rovers - sure it would be far insightful, positive and entertaining.

Whilst I agree with the majority of the article, I feel it's a cheap shot in the headline and working in the 'star' of Benefits Street is some kind of weird inclusion to rank higher on Google...
Would have been cleverer to say Rovers/the board (aka White Dee) have been sponging off the fans (aka the Government) for far too long...
...and before anyone says it, I don't mean the board haven't been pulling their weight financially, I mean they've been 'claiming' and spending much more than they should have for far too long - 'claiming' too much in high ticket prices, and obviously spending too much on unsuitable players and unsuitable contracts.

We could go five points clear of Barnet tomorrow and this is what you've chosen to focus on?

It's odd you are happy to criticise our club each week but feel insulted when the shoe is on the other foot. If you are a genuine fan why are you so happy to contrate so much of your time on the negatives each week in our local press? Most genuine fans at the moment are looking forward to tomorrow's game not worrying about the MCP loan (incidentally couldn't you even get the loan value correct?) or May's court case but what do we get in tonight's local rag, a gutter press type headline implying the BoD are scroungers, it really is beyond belief.

I think an awful lot of "genuine fans" are worrying about the loan and May's court case, as well as looking forward to a win tomorrow. It is possible to be a fan, hope we win the next match, and hope we still have a football club to support next season. It's sort of multi-tasking.

Good article I think. Yep, we are on the edge here. Don't look down folks! It's sh!t or bust time on and off the pitch. Luckily I am feeling optimistic we can get off skid row, but it's far from certain.

Sorry. This is not my day job and I was unaware the club was taking an even bigger risk by borrowing double the amount of money I suggested with even more to pay back each month. I shall now pluck out my eyes, forget everything I know and see, and follow the club blindly as others choose to do... after all, that's the way of a genuine supporter, I guess. Actually, it wasn't my decision to hold the AGM and reveal such shocking information just before one of our biggest games of the season

Can I ask a few honest questions?
What do you think the effect of publishing things like this have on the fan base and the club?
Given the success on the pitch we have had this season and the potential for us to actually achieve something, do you think it helps and do you think on balance its necessary to bring this to the wider audience?
Do you see why it could be seen as inflammatory and unnecessary when those who have an interest can find this info for themselves?

I thought it was your day job ? This seems to be the problem the internet brings, everyone has an opinion and if it is accurate or not it gets on the net.
